Kentucky’s Best Basketball/Football Stars
<p>There are plenty of Kentucky kids who play basketball but spend their summer and fall on the football field but there aren’t many who can do both at a high level. Here’s a look at some of the top 2 sport stars in basketball and football.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="922996" first="Anthony" last="Woodard"], Logan County (2021) - </strong>"Rooster" has offers from Missouri State and EKU in football and is a potential 4th region player of the year next season in basketball.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923004" first="Conner" last="Cooper"], Bowling Green (2021) - </strong>Cooper is a dual threat QB with non-scholarship offers from Centre College and Mount Saint Joseph in football and is a starting guard on the court for one of the favorites to win state at Rupp next season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923011" first="Jeremiah" last="Belton"], LaRue County (2021) - </strong>Jeremiah has started at PG for LaRue County for several years now and also is a tailback and DB on the football field. Belton has over 2,000 career rushing yards already.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923019" first="Camden" last="Williams"], Elizabethtown (2021) - </strong>Actually a 3 sport star, Williams has been All Area on offense and defense the last two seasons as a WR/DB and helped E-Town to the 5th region title last season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923031" first="Tripp" last="Branch"], Caldwell County (2021) - </strong>Branch has offers from Kenyon College, Carelton College, Mount Saint Joseph, Macalester College, Saint John's and Rose-Hulman and was a 40% shooter from three last season.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="923033" first="Kade" last="Grundy"], Somerset (2021) - </strong>Another three sport star, Grundy is committed to Louisville for baseball but had over 1400 yards receiving last season and led the basketball team in scoring at 18 points per game.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="926901" first="Gavin" last="Wimsatt"], Owensboro (2022) - </strong>Recently blowing up as a QB recruit, Gavin has offers from Virginia Tech, TCU, Cincinnati, Missouri, Wst Virginia, Louisville, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Eastern Kentucky. He's also a standout for one of the best basketball programs in the state at Owensboro.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="801615" first="Juwaun" last="Northington"], DuPont Manual (2022) - </strong>He averaged 10 points and 9 rebounds as a Sophomore at Manual and has recently been offered by Boston College, Cincinnati, Indiana and Purdue as a 3 star running back.</p>
