City Rankings: Charlotte Area 2023 Wings (Top 5)

<p>The City Rankings series continues with a look at the Charlotte area. Here’s a look at the Top 5 Wings in the Charlotte area’s 2023 class.</p> <h5>#1 [player_tooltip player_id="854899" first="Trey" last="Horton"] | 6’4 Wing/F | Davidson Day</h5> <p>Horton got experience with [player_tooltip player_id="833097" first="Jackson" last="Threadgill"] on the floor in 2019-20. With some new blood in the rotation in 2020-21, he’ll be looked upon to take over the reigns as their leader with his ability to create on the wing.</p> <h5>#2 [player_tooltip player_id="854898" first="Prashant" last="Hill"] | 6’6 Wing/F | Cannon School</h5> <p>Hill will have an expanded role now with the departure of [player_tooltip player_id="787609" first="Jaden" last="Bradley"] (IMG Academy). He’s a versatile threat that can score on all three levels with his length and size. After playing a reserve role in 2019-20, he’ll be a name to keep an eye on in the Charlotte area.</p> <h5>#3 [player_tooltip player_id="854882" first="Marcus" last="Brown"] | 6’5 Wing/F | Northside Christian</h5> <p>Brown is an emerging prospect on the wing at 6-foot-5 with the ability to a little bit of everything to make an impact. He’s got a nice wingspan and strength that allows him to get to the paint and finish in traffic. He’s just scratching the surface with his rebounding ability as well.</p> <h5>#4 [player_tooltip player_id="854915" first="Sean" last="Rose"] | 6’4 Wing/F | Porter Ridge</h5> <p>Rose is a prospect that got some experience under his belt in 2019-20. He’s got a knack for crashing the boards on both ends and making plays from the wing position. As he fills out more and gets stronger, he’ll be a wing prospect to keep eyes on Porter Ridge.</p> <h5>#5 [player_tooltip player_id="854920" first="Wesley" last="Tubbs Jr."] | 6’3 Wing/G | Northside Christian</h5> <p>Tubbs is another face for Northside Christian on the opposite wing along with [player_tooltip player_id="854882" first="Marcus" last="Brown"]. What sets Tubbs apart is his ability to handle the ball and control the tempo with his wiry speed. He’s another name to watch in the Charlotte area.</p>
