The commitments have continued to pour in for the state of North Carolina. Here’s a look at the latest players to announce where they’re headed to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id="573002" first="Jaylon" last="Gibson"]: NC State

Gibson didn’t waste any time announcing his intentions of attending his school after de-committing from Wake Forest. He committed to a different school in the ACC in the NC State Wolfpack. He’ll be a strong frontcourt addition especially with the departure of [player_tooltip player_id="570516" first="Josh" last="Hall"] to the pros. With his length and skill set, he’ll be a prospect to keep an eye on for the next four years.

[player_tooltip player_id="833093" first="Silas" last="Mason"]: UNC-Asheville

Mason is headed to the Big South where he’ll play as a member of the UNC-Asheville Bulldogs. He had a strong senior campaign at Ben L. Smith High School, putting up 20.1 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.9 apg and 1.5 spg in 2019-20. He was an All-Conference selection for the third-straight year to finish out his high school career and is set to make waves at the next level.

Toyaz Solomon: Maryland-Eastern Shore

Solomon used a year of post-grad at Combine Academy to develop his game and it paid off with his recent pledge to the Maryland-Eastern Shore. He’s a 6-foot-8 wing that can attack the basket and finish above the rim with his long frame. He’ll be a versatile option to watch at the next level in the MEAC.

[player_tooltip player_id="833183" first="Jalen" last="Mccoy"]: USC-Aiken

Mccoy is headed to USC-Aiken, where he’s due to make a splash. In his best game this past season, he put up a career-high 30 points against Hillside while shooting 15-of-21 from the field. He attempted just one 3-pointer in the game. He’ll be a burden to cover in the Division II ranks in the post with his strong frame and efficient shooting ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="833145" first="Trey" last="Pittman"]: University of Lynchburg

Pittman is due to make a splash at the Division III level in 2020-21 at the University of Lynchburg. He’s a 6-foot-7 forward that can play inside and out and should make an impact right away in the frontcourt for the program. Don’t be surprised if he sets some records when it’s all said and done.

[player_tooltip player_id="833140" first="Jakob" last="Moore"]: Butler CC (Kansas)

Moore will take a different route in his development, going the junior college route. He’ll play with Butler Community College in Kansas for the next two seasons and should be a lot more polished when it’s all said and done. He’s a 6-foot-8 forward with a versatile skill set and room to grow as a paint presence on both ends.

[player_tooltip player_id="573018" first="Traymond" last="Willis-Shaw"]: Panola College (TX)

Willis-Shaw is another prospect that should see growth in his game on the junior college level. He’s headed to Panola College in Texas. He’s a forward that already wreaks havoc on both ends with his ability to fly around and use his length. He’ll be a name to watch as his development should attract a number of top suitors in the end.
