The next in the ’Top-140 most impactful in AIA’ countdown, we look at numbers 69-76.

Remember, these are not player rankings but how much they impact their team along with the talent they go against during the season.

Here are the next eight:

[player_tooltip player_id="701245" first="Mekhi" last="Mason"] (Chandler)

-He is on one of the more talented teams in 6A with heavy fire power. But don’t sleep on Mason as he is one of the top soph guards in state. It will be "his team" in two years but next season he will still be a handful next to four starting seniors. He avg 11 ppg 4.3 assists 3.3 rebounds plus 1.7 steals.

[player_tooltip player_id="809734" first="Miles" last="Guliford"] (Liberty)

-The lefty shooter quietly had a good year with 14.9 points 3.4 assists 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 steals. With [player_tooltip player_id="804790" first="Jacob" last="Patterson"] graduating, Guliford will hopefully lead the Lions back to the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="827025" first="Pike" last="Tancil"] (Willow Canyon)

-[player_tooltip player_id="804774" first="Sunday" last="John"] leaves and Tancil will step into those big shoes and be the man. He quietly avg 13.7 points 4 assists 4.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game. The versatile guard will look to carry them next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="827031" first="Brady" last="Reynolds"] (Basha)

-One of the more important players for the Bears next year will be Reynolds. He is their muscle up front and will need to control the glass and score it inside. His production will improve from his 9 points 1.6 assists and 5 rebounds. He avg similar numbers as did [player_tooltip player_id="831116" first="Landon" last="Schumaker"], so Reynolds will see the lions share of plays inside next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="932154" first="Jaisheldon" last="Yates"] (Sunrise Mountain)

-Another player who will need to carry the load inside the paint without [player_tooltip player_id="804797" first="Tanner" last="Mayer"]’s 19 points and 10 rebounds. Yates avg 8.6 points and 5.5 rebounds. He will be one of the most physical post players in the conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="827049" first="Pascal" last="Volz"] (McClintock)

-A highly skilled guard can sling it from deep and make plays. The top guard producers left with [player_tooltip player_id="804766" first="Chance" last="Garland"] and [player_tooltip player_id="804799" first="Armani" last="Williams"] graduating, which leaves a big void to fill. Volz has what it takes to step up his game. He avg 8.2 points 2.9 assists 2.2 rebounds and 1.0 steal a game.

[player_tooltip player_id="827004" first="Blessing" last="Nwotite"] (Paradise Honors)

-Another important player for his team is their ultimate glue guy. He is a Swiss-army knife for Coach Hettel as he will most likely defend every position on the court and then score the ball as well. He avg 7.8 points 4.6 rebounds 1.9 assists and 1.1 steals. (Side note--I saw him defend the 1-5 in 1 game early in the HS season last year--an unique weapon to have.)

[player_tooltip player_id="809712" first="Zayn" last="Kimbrough"] (Williams Field)

-A walking bucket who transferred in from Mesa HS. He avg 15.4 ppg in only 7 games. He scores it from both levels and with him and other future seniors, the Black Hawks can be a nice sleeper team next season.
