As promised, here is my third follow-up to my original piece on athletes in Broward County. With all of these lists, my goal is to spotlight as many kids as possible. If you have anyone who you feel should be mentioned, please inbox our service or contact me on my social media accounts below.

Take a look at list 3.0.

[player_tooltip player_id="709228" first="Carl" last="Cherenfant"] - Calvary Christian Academy Eagles

At 6-foot-5, Cherenfant has the size and athleticism to compete against anyone in Florida. The 2023 guard averaged 6.8 points and 4.2 rebounds on a loaded Calvary Christian squad. With a varsity season under his belt, Cherenfant should accelerate his potential playing alongside D-1 prospect [player_tooltip player_id="814895" first="Gregg" last="Glenn"], [player_tooltip player_id="818826" first="Noah" last="Tovar"] and Dylan Canonville. Against powerhouse Westminster Academy, Cherenfant finished with a double-double of ten points and ten rebounds. With that as an indication, Cherenfant has the ability to make a difference with his outside shooting while also grabbing rebounds in the paint. In addition, Cherenfant has the length to defend multiple positions and plays with a high IQ. Overall, the versatility he has will only improve over his high school career. A hard worker, Cherenfant has improved his jump shot immensely over his young career. I would not he shocked at all if we see his name on an all-county list after next season. With an offer from Western Kentucky, more high majors should come calling along with that.

Jason Mark - Coconut Creek Cougars

With three leading scorers graduating, Mark returns as the Cougars headman after averaging 7.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. With room to grow, the 2022 power forward recorded five or more rebounds in every game he played last season. Moving forward, Mark should be a consistent double-double threat for the Cougars as a primary option. In January, the 6-foot-3 Mark scored in double-figures in four straight games. Moreover, Mark should relish in the moment to be a team leader and push Coconut Creek to a winning season as a junior.

Dave Dalge - Boyd Anderson Cobras

With the loss of Roger Fairweather and [player_tooltip player_id="716974" first="Martin" last="Mercedes"], where will Boyd Anderson turn? A point guard, Dalge could be the guy to seize the opportunity. A 2021, Dalge averaged 3.8 points and 3.0 rebounds per game last season. However, the 6-foot-3 Dalge showed flashes of potential with a ten-point effort against state-finalist Pembroke Pines Charter. I saw Boyd Anderson a few times last season and they are extremely well coached. Moreover, the staff keeps the group well disciplined. Dalge is going to have the ball in his hands plenty of times and should use the tutelage of his coaching staff to his betterment.

Jonathan Pierre - Hallandale Chargers

Another group with heavy losses, Pierre jumps in as the Chargers returning scorer after averaging 5.8 points per game. However, the 2021 played above his averages with a 11-point effort against South Broward and a 12-point affair against Champagnat Catholic. At 6-foot-4, Pierre has good size as a guard or wing player in the Chargers system. I saw Hallandale run a lot a season ago so I have no doubt Pierre has the athleticism to withstand long stretches of play in the open court. As a senior, Pierre should double his scoring output and be a key reason to the Chargers success next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="956799" first="Wallance" last="Fevrier"] - Avante Garde Academy Sharks

A 5’10" guard, Fevier did a bit of everything for the Sharks after averaging 12.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 2.9 assists per game. The 2021 is quick in the open-floor and has good vision to the basket. On the defensive side, Fevrier finished with three or more steals in 19 games. Clearly, the rising junior has a nose for the ball and plays with a ton of effort on the defensive side of the court. With the talent the Sharks have, Fevrier can facilitate to other players while still getting his own at the rim. Overall, Fevrier is a quick guard with versatile play making ability.
