The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs.

With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Guards in [player_tooltip player_id="783152" first="Quimari" last="Peterson"], [player_tooltip player_id="874204" first="Sam" last="Rees"], and [player_tooltip player_id="874179" first="Sam" last="Smith"].

[player_tooltip player_id="783152" first="Quimari" last="Peterson"] – 6’0 PG 2021 – Gary West (IN)
Stats: 16 ppg
Thoughts: Peterson is a tough point guard with a ton of skill. He is a lanky, small guard with good speed and really great ability on defense. He is sort of a "do it all" offensive player. He looks to drive more than often rather than showing off his capable jumper. He dishes it off well and gets his teammates involved a ton. Rebounds the ball really well and will push the tempo. Peterson has proven that he can be a top prospect in the state over the last few years. Should be in for a huge senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="874204" first="Sam" last="Rees"] – 6’1 SG 2021 – Eastern Greene (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Rees is a smaller point guard with a good amount of skill and talent. Pretty good shooter and drives/cuts to the rim well also. He has a ton of on court IQ and sees the floor really well. He is not afraid to make the necessary hustle plays on defense. Needs to add some more size and speed to his game. Rees is a very solid prospect that plays real hard when he is on the court. Would not be surprised to see him have a breakout senior year coming up.

[player_tooltip player_id="874179" first="Sam" last="Smith"] – 6’0 PG/SG 2021 – Northridge (IN)
Stats: 17 ppg, 2.7 rpg, 2.0 apg
Thoughts: Smith is a tall athletic guard that has a good amount of talent. He is a slightly built combo guard who can absolutely shoot the ball. He’s got a really quick release on his jumper and has range to half court. His long body helps him have an underrated amount of speed. He is pretty tough on defense as well. Really has gotten better and better as the years have gone bye. Smith is a top scoring prospect that you need to keep an eye on this next year.
