The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs.

With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Guards in Jace Kelly, [player_tooltip player_id="874191" first="Jake" last="Kinsey"], and [player_tooltip player_id="874157" first="Jeremiah" last="Lovett"].

Jace Kelly – 5’11 PG 2021 – South Spencer (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Kelly is a small guard with some handles and ability to drive to the rim. Has some pretty good shooting ability and is solid off the catch. He is on the smaller side so adding more size should be a focus. However, he plays very tough and draws contact on his drives to the rim. Does not really play like he is small just because he is so aggressive. Pretty smart player as well. He is an interesting guard because although he is not a true point guard, he knows the best ways to get his teams buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id="874191" first="Jake" last="Kinsey"] – 5’11 PG 2021 – Shenandoah (IN)
Stats: 16.0 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 4.0 apg
Thoughts: Kinsey is a small guard that can really score the ball. He is pretty thin but has looked to have gained strength over the years. He plays with a real tough mindset and is not afraid to step-up when he needs to. Does not really show off his jumper too much as he looks to drive more often than not. His long body helps him with his driving ability. Smart player that makes good decisions. Should have a great senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id="874157" first="Jeremiah" last="Lovett"] – 6’2 SG 2021 – Munster (IN)
Stats: N/A
Thoughts: Lovett is a big guard with some athletic ability. Has a bruising play style and does not take any plays off. He’s creative and tough with a lot of strength so he isn’t the easiest to gameplan for or defend. He has some shooting ability but that is still something he needs to continue to work on. Could even see him playing as a small forward from time to time. Lovett is a solid player all around. Interested to see if he breakouts in his senior year.
