The City Rankings for Southeast/East Ohio are here! Take a read below to see who made this list. Please note this is NOT the 5 best overall players in the region. Rather this breaks down the best player by position.

PG- [player_tooltip player_id="967167" first="Trey" last="Robertson"] (2022) Waverly- With many schools in SE Ohio being guard focused, the elite guards sometimes can be hard to pick out. Robertson is one of the few that is extremely obvious his talent level is much higher than the rest of the region. Unselfish, quick off the dribble, and able to score in doses, he has already attracted interest at the collegiate level and is considered in our opinion, the best PG in Southeast Ohio.

SG- [player_tooltip player_id="921779" first="Tegan" last="Myers"] (2022) Logan- Myers has a wide arsenal of offensive talent which is tough to compare against in the Southeast Region. Scrappy 2-guard with a dagger of a 3PT shot. Limitless range and solid off the dribble. Plays hard and willing to take a hit in the paint for layups. Myers gets over the finish line in our City Rankings because of his ability to score besides chucking up long range shots.

SF- [player_tooltip player_id="967140" first="Kyle" last="Sexton"] (2021) Glenwood- Tall combo wing at 6’5, Sexton brings size to the table which can be hard to find sometimes in Southeast/East Ohio. Able to contribute from multiple levels, Sexton makes the smart plays and has shown he can be a leader on both ends of the floor. While his school is one of the smaller ones in the state, you have to appreciate his size and skill combination that makes him quite a dangerous player.

PF- [player_tooltip player_id="967139" first="Colton" last="Vaughn"] (2021) Eastern Brown- I really like Vaughn and especially think his position as top PF is almost impossible to overthrow. The guy isn’t the tallest at 6’4 when comparing collegiate prospects, but his drive and more importantly, physicality, are next to none. Defensively, will do whatever it takes including diving on the floor or into stands to get a hand on the ball. Not many guys can match his size and hustle.

C- [player_tooltip player_id="919020" first="Logan" last="Smith"] (2021) Martins Ferry- Smith is versatile, capable of playing on the perimeter and putting the ball on the floor. While he comes from the Eastern part of the state, we believe he is the best Center prospect regardless and at 6’6, has enough size and additional skills to attract college attention.
