If the summer months allow basketball to be played here is what D1 Minnesota has put together for their 2020 17u team. A team of ten players from three different states.

[player_tooltip player_id="530046" first="Tyler" last="Andrews"] of Vermont Academy (6’6, 2021). Andrews is the same player that at one point played for Gain Elite and then Howard Pulley 16u last year. He reclassified from the 2020 class to 2021. We’ve seen him listed at 6’5 and 6’7 this winter so we went with the average. He’s from Cedar Rapids, Iowa but attended prep school in Vermont last year.

[player_tooltip player_id="927793" first="Ariel" last="Bland"] of Minnesota (6’7, 2020). Bland averaged 8.6 points a game for Eden Prairie as a junior and then had a solid season as a starter in EYBL for Howard Pulley at 17u last year. Instead of staying with EP this winter for his senior year Bland went to a prep school out west but was back in Minnesota by around the New Year.

[player_tooltip player_id="774736" first="Cade" last="Haskins"] of Minnesota (6’6, 2021). Haskins has earned three D1 offers so far in 2020 and that list will likely grow. He is the top wing prospect in Minnesota’s 2021 class overall and Cade led the Islanders in scoring this winter. Cade is considered one of the top three point weapons in the state and he recently grew 2.5-3 inches.

[player_tooltip player_id="850703" first="Camden" last="Heide"] of Wayzata (6’6, 2022). Heide is a top 50 level prospect nationally with a nice long list of scholarship offers that includes Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, Nebraska, and Minnesota. Heide led Wayzata in scoring combining a pretty shooting touch with explosive attacking ability.

[player_tooltip player_id="754315" first="Eli" last="King"] of Caledonia (6’3, 2022). When Eli isn’t busy earning impressive football offers (Notre Dame, Minnesota, Iowa, etc) for his play as a wide receiver and defensive back he’s on the basketball court playing like a top 150 player nationally and a top five prospect in a strong class of Minnesota 2022s.

[player_tooltip player_id="774748" first="Broden" last="Lien"] of NCE/U-H (6’8, 2021). Broden put together a 27 point, 13 rebound averaged winter leading his team to 19 wins and earning his first D1 offer from North Dakota. Lien can be that face-up four-man teams are looking for and he has a mean streak going at the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id="682279" first="Tamin" last="Lipsey"] of Ames (6’1, 2022). Lipsey is the top rated Iowa sophomore prospect having earned offers from Iowa State and Nebraska. He is a four-star level recruit coming off of an ACL tear that blocked him from playing this past winter.

David Joplin of Brookfield Central (6’6, 2021). Joplin is the second ranked junior in Wisconsin (behind Patrick Baldwin Jr) and just led his team to a 24-1 season averaging 23.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Joplin’s offer list includes DePaul, Georgetown, and UNLC.

[player_tooltip player_id="567037" first="Joshua" last="Streit"] of Eden Valley-Watkins (6’8, 2021). Streit pushed EVW to the top ten in Class AA with a 27-2 record averaging a double-double while playing the role point guard, wing, stretch four, and low post center all year long. Versatile, team first guy that comes from a family of scholarship athletes.

[player_tooltip player_id="532605" first="Treyton" last="Thompson"] of La Lumiere Prep (6’11, 2021). A four star recruit committed to Minnesota that originally is from Alexandria, Minnesota. Thompson moved east to La Lumiere Prep where Thompson started in the post this winter while adding 20 pounds of quality weight to his frame. Thompson continues to grow in skill development, height, weight, length, and everything else.
