We continue to look towards next season and the Twin Lakes Conference.

The senior class was a talented one, with many of those players finding homes at the next level. But what is next in the TLC?

Among those in the Class of 2021 looking to have another strong summer and winter include East Sac County’s [player_tooltip player_id="796175" first="Camden" last="Schroeder"], Emmetsburg’s [player_tooltip player_id="796174" first="Ben" last="Dunlap"] and South Central Calhoun’s [player_tooltip player_id="796186" first="Brennan" last="Holder"].

Here’s a look at those three along with some of the other rising stars in the junior class of the Twin Lakes Conference:

[player_tooltip player_id="796175" first="Camden" last="Schroeder"], East Sac County (2021)

It’s going to be difficult for [player_tooltip player_id="796175" first="Camden" last="Schroeder"] to top his junior season, but that is the task at hand for the talent from East Sac County.

Schroeder averaged 22.5 points per game, shooting 62 percent from the field and 84 percent at the line. He also knocked down 41 3-pointers and was the conference leader at 9.4 rebounds per game.

Analysis: Big-time athlete who made remarkable strides from sophomore to junior year best describes Schroeder. With another high-impact season, he’ll be picking up plenty of offers and interest at the collegiate level.

[player_tooltip player_id="796174" first="Ben" last="Dunlap"], Emmetsburg (2021)

When it comes to the TLC, [player_tooltip player_id="796174" first="Ben" last="Dunlap"] is right there with [player_tooltip player_id="796175" first="Camden" last="Schroeder"] for top player honors.

Dunlap posted 19 points a night last year, shooting 55 percent from the field. He was active in getting himself to the free throw line, shooting 173 times there and making 73 percent.

Analysis: The second-leading scorer and rebounder returning to the TLC, Dunlap will be pushing himself to try and take over Schroeder for top player honors this coming year.

[player_tooltip player_id="796186" first="Brennan" last="Holder"], South Central Calhoun (2021)

South Central Calhoun will see all-stater [player_tooltip player_id="801871" first="Zane" last="Neubaum"] depart to graduation, leaving a hole to be filled on the offensive end.

Enter [player_tooltip player_id="796186" first="Brennan" last="Holder"], as the junior showed he is a worthy candidate after averaging 12 points and 6.5 rebounds a night. Holder helped fill the void when Neubaum was out with an injury, shooting 42 percent from the floor with 48 made 3-pointers.

Analysis: Improvements at the line will help Holder push up those scoring totals, and should see him boost his overall numbers with another year of experience.

[player_tooltip player_id="964915" first="Trey" last="Oehlertz"], Pocahontas Area (2021)

Part of a 1-2 punch with Christian Davidson, [player_tooltip player_id="964915" first="Trey" last="Oehlertz"] averaged 13.7 points per game and led Pocahontas Area in rebounds with 145.

Oehlertz shot 52 percent from the floor and was second on the team with 26 made 3-pointers.

Analysis: As strong as his shooting was from the field, bringing up his free throw numbers would lead to more production from Oehlertz, who also added 32 assists and 19 steals.

Connor Christian, Sioux Central (2021)

Sioux Central was one of the more balanced teams in the TLC this past winter, as Connor Christian was one of four players to average double figures.

Christian posted 11 points a night and was second on the team with 40 made 3-pointers. He also finished with 120 rebounds, 40 assists, 23 blocks and 21 steals.

Analysis: As part of an underclassmen-dominated unit, Christian will be counted on even more to lead by example next year.

Christian Davidson, Pocahontas Area (2021)

Helping replace the production lost from his graduation of his brother, Jace Davidson, was Christian Davidson.

Davidson averaged 12.6 points per game, shooting 42 percent from the floor with 67 rebounds, 41 assists and 26 steals.

Analysis: Davidson saw his percentages dip this past winter with teams focusing more of their attention on taking him away.
