Top-5’s in 2022: Mid-Range Shooters

With the possibility of losing the entire AAU season this year, I will mention all 104 sophs ranked. I like to take a look at my annual “Top-5’s”. Every player has their 1 skill they usually excel at. It’s just a fun way to take a look at players’ elite skills in different categories.   We move over to the 10 Mid-Range shooters. It is definitely a lost art but I still think it’s a great shot. Here are my Top-5: 1. [player_tooltip player_id="701228" first="Dylan" last="Anderson"] (Perry) (Pictured) -A top-tier shooter from mid-range can also extend to the 3 with elite size and length. 2. [player_tooltip player_id="701266" first="DeOtis" last="Nunn Jr."] (South Mountain) -Can score it from all 3 levels but loves the mid-range pull-up off the dribble. 3. [player_tooltip player_id="827009" first="Trenten" last="Lavender"] (Centennial) -A very good 3pt shooter is also tough from mid. 4. [player_tooltip player_id="827033" first="Nikko" last="Pentelute"] (Gilbert) -A super strong scoring guard is polished from mid-range. 5. [player_tooltip player_id="933539" first="Jacob" last="Estrella"] (St. Mary’s) -A fairly athletic guard is good from mid to the 3.   5-more: 1. [player_tooltip player_id="936765" first="Trey" last="Brown"] (Phhoenix Prep) -A long and lean shooter likes it from mid. 2. [player_tooltip player_id="827050" first="Brandon" last="Lee"] (Corona del Sol) -A quicker guard can pull-up from mid to the 3 and get downhill. 3. [player_tooltip player_id="948184" first="Leo" last="Scott Jr"] (Parker) -A thicker forward can really shoot it from mid-range. 4. [player_tooltip player_id="827047" first="Dillan" last="Baker"] (Salpointe Catholic) -A skilled forward is smart and has a clean stroke from 15-feet. 5. [player_tooltip player_id="827045" first="Nathan" last="Young"] (Bradshaw Mountain) -A little known guard is skilled and smart. He likes the mid game and can shoot it from deep.
