Before we say goodbye to the 2019-20 season for good, Prep Hoops Wisconsin releases the all-state sophomore team:

First Team:

[player_tooltip player_id="1129756" first="Seth" last="Trimble"] -- Menomonee Falls -- PG

Trimble solidified his spot as the best sophomore point guard in the state. The Menomonee Falls star averaged 20 points, six rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Mind you, Trimble put up these numbers playing in the Greater Metro Conference.

[player_tooltip player_id="801135" first="Steven" last="Clay"] -- Menomonee Falls -- SF

Trimble’s sophomore teammate is blossoming into the best pure scorer in Wisconsin’s 2022 class. Clay led Falls in points per game this year with 21.3. The small forward has one of the highest ceilings in Wisconsin.

[player_tooltip player_id="727964" first="Jack" last="Rose"] -- Westosha Central -- SG

Rose had his breakout moment last summer. He proved that he was no one-hit-wonder in his second year of eligibility. The shooting guard tallied 17.5 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Rose is the type of prospect that you want on your team. He has all of the skills, and he also plays extremely hard.

[player_tooltip player_id="801138" first="Armani" last="Jones"] -- Brown Deer -- PG

Jones stands at just 5-foot-8, but somehow the Brown Deer point guard still gets the job done. Helping BD to a 15-10 record, Jones scored 20.4 points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id="761417" first="Danilo" last="Jovanovich"] -- Whitnall -- PF

Jovanovich’s stock continues to rise. The Whitnall power forward was ultra-efficient in his sophomore season, scoring 20.6 points per game on nearly 70 percent shooting from the field. It is only a matter of time before Jovanovich secures his first scholarship offer.

Second Team:

[player_tooltip player_id="801136" first="Maximus" last="Nelson"] -- Appleton North -- PF

Nelson consistently produced this season for Appleton North. The power forward scored 16.4 points per game on 45 percent shooting. As a stretch four, Nelson has a lot of potential. Expect many college programs to watch him play if the AAU season gets underway.

[player_tooltip player_id="761407" first="Luke" last="Haertle"] -- Lake Country Lutheran -- SG

Haertle had an extremely productive sophomore season. The shooting guard dropped 20.1 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per contest. Haertle is definitely a prospect that college coaches should keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="801151" first="Carson" last="Leuzinger"] -- Monroe -- PG

It doesn’t matter what situation you put him in, Leuzinger is going to get the job done. The 6-foot point guard was great as a sophomore, scoring 15.2 points per game while helping Monroe to an 18-6 record.

[player_tooltip player_id="865836" first="Jack" last="Campion"] -- Milton -- PG

Campion is one of the most electric players in the state. The Milton point guard pairs great speed with passing and scoring skills. He put up 20.1 points and dished out 4.6 assists per game as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id="727972" first="Andrew" last="Alia"] -- Kenosha St. Joseph -- SG

Belmont was the first Division 1 school to express interest in Alia’s talent, and they likely won’t be the last. The 6-foot-2 shooting guard scored 19.8 points per game as a sophomore. Alia is also expected to have another great summer with Wisconsin Playground Club.

Third Team:

[player_tooltip player_id="761404" first="Leon" last="Bond"] -- Wauwatosa East -- PF

When it is all said and done, Bond could be the top prospect in Wisconsin’s 2022 class. The Tosa East PF had a good sophomore season, scoring 11.8 points and grabbing 5.7 rebounds per game, but he is capable of so much more. Look for Bond to make many improvements in his game this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="950096" first="Donovan" last="Short"] -- Denmark -- PF

Before the season, Short was a prospect that not many people knew about. But, after scoring 18.6 points and grabbing 7.1 rebounds per game, he became a top name to know in the 2022 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="801148" first="Andrew" last="Rohde"] -- Brookfield Central -- SG

Rohde thrived in his expanded role as a sophomore. Averaging 8.5 points per game, he was a big reason why Brookfield Central found so much success in the 2019-20 season.

[player_tooltip player_id="801149" first="Jackson" last="Paveletzke"] -- Kimberly -- PG

Making the jump from JV to varsity, Paveletzke proved that he can take the reigns after the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="544519" first="Jake" last="Buchanan"] and [player_tooltip player_id="935428" first="Logan" last="Pearson"]. Paveletzke scored 13.1 points per game while helping Kimberly to a second straight FVA title.

[player_tooltip player_id="801141" first="Casey" last="Verhagen"] -- Sheboygan Lutheran -- PG

Verhagen displayed his diverse skillset this season. The Sheboygan Lutheran point guard averaged 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game. Next year, Verhagen will be tasked with replacing [player_tooltip player_id="880969" first="Jacob" last="Ognacevic"].

Honorable Mentions:

[player_tooltip player_id="865834" first="Amari" last="Jedkins"] -- Racine Case -- PF, [player_tooltip player_id="761419" first="Ashton" last="Janowski"] -- Peawaukee -- CG, [player_tooltip player_id="761411" first="Najashi" last="Tolefree"] -- West Allis Central -- SG, [player_tooltip player_id="801144" first="Micah" last="Causey"] -- Saint Thomas More -- PG, [player_tooltip player_id="761401" first="Marshawn" last="Robinson"] -- Waukesha South -- SG, [player_tooltip player_id="865841" first="Donovan" last="Sparks"] -- Nicolet -- SG
