While Region 2 was down there are some bright spots in the region. Taylorsville had an excellent season, one for the books. West Jordan was young and returns a lot of their contributors. Cyprus graduates a few players but they have a some young scorers. Kearns can make a big jump because they were a team made up of underclassmen. On paper it looks like West Jordan has the upper hand as they look to repeat as Region Champions.

The team that people need to be weary about playing will be Kearns High School. They had some raw talent on the floor at almost every position. With the combination of Johny Gasologa and Paul Wanthi both sophomores that started for the Cougars. Johny is athletic and Paul has elite quickness. Also, look out for IV’rson Lavizzo another sophomore guard that will add to a quick backcourt.

West Jordan is going to be the favorite going into next season. One reason why was the emergence of [player_tooltip player_id="934507" first="Logan" last="Prince"] who had an excellent sophomore campaign. Esafe Tauafahema will need to elevate his game and put in work this off-season.

Cyprus is well coached and has a young freshman in Quinton Meza who finds ways to score. They will need a lot of help from their underclassmen as Cyprus graduates a lot of contributors.

Hunter has a chance to improve with [player_tooltip player_id="955345" first="Josh" last="Harding"] and Nathan Suaste returning with bigger roles as seniors. [player_tooltip player_id="755550" first="Chase" last="Wagstaff"] could also be a key as he is one of the bigger players in the region.

Taylorsville graduates the best player in Region 2 and it will hurt them come next season. Maturity and inspired play will be required from [player_tooltip player_id="755645" first="Eric" last="Giang"] and twins John Gavin and [player_tooltip player_id="934520" first="James" last="Gavin"].

Granger rounds out the region and will be lead by Jaydon Semeli who can score from all over the court but he will have a tough task at hand.
