Point Guards in 2020, the Committed and Top Available

<p>It’s closing time in the 2020 recruiting cycle. With the 2019-20 season now complete, the pool of talent continues to dwindle as college programs work to put the finishing touches on their recruiting classes.  Tuesday at noon, J.J. Platt committed to Jacksonville State University (commitment video below).  His departure from the available point guard list accentuates an already thin list of skilled floor generals.</p> <p>Here’s an in-depth look an the top available point guards still on the board in Tennessee.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="643348" first="Kavion" last="McClain"] - Whitehaven</p> <p>Best guess right now is that McClain ends up going the junior college route and winds up at a Division 1 program in two years.  Elite athleticism that is barely human.  McClain keeps getting better each year.  Keep in mind he started for a top Class AAA team for three consecutive seasons.  </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="845982" first="Marvin" last="Hughes"] - McGavock</p> <p>Pure winner.  Scored over 2,000 career points and started from his freshman year throughout.  Durable.  Incredibly intelligent. Great on-ball defender.  Heady.  Impeccable basketball brain.
