As we begin vetting rosters ahead of next season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin takes a unique look at six teams with particularly deep rotations of college-caliber talent.

Brown Deer -
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="801138" first="Armani" last="Jones"] - G - 2022
[player_tooltip player_id="804918" first="Jeremiah" last="Dotson"] - F - 2021
[player_tooltip player_id="804917" first="Mark" last="Wade"] - G - 2021
[player_tooltip player_id="764118" first="John" last="Lovelace"] Jr. - G - 2021
Outlook: With Lovelace transferring for his senior season, Brown Deer will have a developing swingman to mix into a roster mostly unaffected by turnover. Jones will likely lead them in most scoring statistics, while Wade offers ultra-efficient shooting as the two-guard. And at 6’7” with physicality and reach, Dotson’s positionless playstyle means he can be dropped in at center or forward to provide an inside presence.

Wisconsin Lutheran -
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="951467" first="Prentice" last="Young"] - G - 2023
Landon Key - G - 2023
Jordan Glenn - G - 2022
Isaiah Hopf - G - 2021
Jonah Rindfleisch - F - 2021
Outlook: Young and Key are freshman studs with no visible cap on their potential, while Glenn offers deadly three-point shooting and a shifty, physical driving ability. Hopf and Rindfleisch make up next year’s senior core. Hopf is another lefty shooter and pure scorer, while Rindfleisch is a promising paint prospect with the frame and mobility to be an elite shot-blocker and rebounder.

Racine Case -
Key Players:
JaKobe Thompson - G - 2021:
[player_tooltip player_id="865834" first="Amari" last="Jedkins"] - F - 2022:
[player_tooltip player_id="865835" first="Terryon" last="Brumby"] - G - 2022:
Outlook: Each of these three prospects have division one potential, starting with their point guard Thompson. At his lowest, he’s a system-defining two-way point guard. Brumby’s similar make-up makes him an equally intriguing prospect. Being a year younger, he has followed the same progression as his backcourt mate but is more of an attack-first player. As far as Jedkins, his ceiling is the highest, and for good reason. He checks off each of the physical requirements college coaches would hope for, and he’s able to provide unique benefits as a scorer around the rim.

The Prairie School -
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="879983" first="Antuan" last="Nesbitt"] - G/F - 2021
Ashe Oglesby - F - 2023
Asanjai Hunter - G - 2022
[player_tooltip player_id="938202" first="Kody" last="Krekling"] - F - 2021
Jacob Fallico - G - 2021
Outlook: Nesbitt has morphed into a true small forward, as he’s shown comfortable play on the perimeter, big man skills on the block, and elite facilitating. As only a freshman, Oglesby got his tick as a defensive stalwart that can hit the three on offense. Hunter’s quick, smooth scoring and pesky defense got him in the starting rotation as a sophomore, while the perimeter shooting of Krekling and Fallico balanced out their offensive system.

Waunakee -
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="761421" first="Andrew" last="Keller"] - F - 2022
Caden Nelson - G - 2021
[player_tooltip player_id="880033" first="Jaxson" last="Zibell"] - G - 2021
Outlook: Last season, Waunakee won the Badger North conference, not with a clear star player, but with depth at each position. Keller ended up pacing the roster, mostly due to his versatile scoring. Nelson’s all-around scoring and Zibell’s outside shooting complimented his skills well.

Monroe -
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="701965" first="Cade" last="Meyer"] - F - 2021
[player_tooltip player_id="801151" first="Carson" last="Leuzinger"] - G - 2022
[player_tooltip player_id="801147" first="J.T." last="Seagreaves"] - F - 2022
Max Golembieski - G - 2021
Outlook: For Monroe, their success has been a byproduct of Meyer ascending to the top of the 2021 class. The forward’s athleticism and power allow him to dominate games and free up opportunities for talented teammates. Leuzinger displayed his craftiness and perimeter scoring, while Seagreaves offers a versatile inside and driving game. Golembieski also complimented that trio last season, drilling catch-and-shoot threes while connecting on mid-range floaters and contested jumpers.
