With strong winters the following members of the Class of 2020 landed top 200 in Tennessee.

The lower-numbered rankings suggest highest college success.

#27 [player_tooltip player_id="954776" first="Xavier" last="Joubert"] (Memphis Central)

Relentless rebounder. Decent bounce. Range is just ok.

#29 [player_tooltip player_id="954777" first="Chaz" last="Lanier"] (Ensworth)

Incredible senior season. Lanier vaulted to the fore with impressive athleticism whilst standing 6-foot-3. Lanier can catch it and shoot it with the best of them. His shooting motion is quick and fluid. Devoted to the game. Chaz has justifiably high confidence in his game. With his thin frame, Lanier is a prime candidate for a freshman redshirt year.

Lanier's slippery steps are really a joy to watch. He is not a bull with the ball, rather a ballerina. The grace of each step in traffic enables him to keep would-be shotblockers off-balance. Instead of simply darting to the block, there is a natural pitter patter to his gait. If one were to describe Lanier's penetrating steps with morse code, then the first question would be...why? Secondly, [player_tooltip player_id="954777" first="Chaz" last="Lanier"] is a dash-dot-dash-dot-dot kind of slippery sort. There is both an elegance and a subtle deceptiveness. As a strong shooter from various points on the floor, [player_tooltip player_id="954777" first="Chaz" last="Lanier"] enters college with a skill. The slashing looks like an area for growth. This is not meant in a slanderous way. In fact, Chaz has the footwork and length to improve his slashing dramatically, especially at the next level with improved team spacing and bigger lanes to probe.

#32 [player_tooltip player_id="954778" first="Garnett" last="Hollis Jr."] (Battle Ground Academy)

Will play football for Northwestern University. Like [player_tooltip player_id="845980" first="Keshawn" last="Lawrence"] (Ensworth), Hollis Jr. is the kind of absurdly athletic guy who is that one major life decision away from being an exceptional D1 hooper. Hollis Jr. projects, if basketball were his choice, as an elite wing attacker and defender. He loves basketball and will be among the best casual hoopers on the Northwestern Wildcat football team.

#40 [player_tooltip player_id="954805" first="Ashton" last="Maples"] (Maryville)

Decent outside shooter. Provided a capable counterbalance to [player_tooltip player_id="643290" first="Joe" last="Anderson"]. An integral piece on a state qualifying Maryville High team this winter.

#44 [player_tooltip player_id="954779" first="J'Quan" last="Ewing"] (Kenwood)

Ewing returned from his prep school to graduate with his Clarksville Kenwood High School Class of 2020. Regarding his college recruitment, [player_tooltip player_id="954779" first="J'Quan" last="Ewing"] verbally committed to Morehouse College.

#45 [player_tooltip player_id="954780" first="Kylan" last="Haywood"] (Memphis East)

Nearly averaged a double-double. There were multiple examples of Haywood's greatness documented by esteemed writer Courtney Asher Smith, including the nailbiter versus White Station.

#50 [player_tooltip player_id="954781" first="James" last="Anderson"] (Madison Academic)

Lanky wing averaged over 15 ppg in his fantastic senior season. Also, topped 6 rpg and 3 apg.

"When looking at his stats keep in mind 12 of our 22 wins have been by 19+. We also have 4 guys averaging double figures and he has been extremely unselfish all year," shared Madison coaching staff. James scored over 18 ppg in those games that were closer and therefore required him to do a little more.
