Born wrapped up one of the all-time great careers with a state title last week, helping lead the Warriors to the school’s first championship. He led the tournament in scoring, regardless of class, and while he didn’t quite have the same efficiency as he had throughout the season, he was still able to impact the game on both ends of the floor. His semifinal performance against Ballard was one of the best showings of the season, going for 34 points and 11 assists. He finished the year with 983 points, which ranked 3rd in single season scoring.

Stats: 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 46.7 FG%

A 6-6 combo forward, Drew looked like he might help lead the Bombers to an upset win over Norwalk in the semifinals, going off for 19 first half points against the Warriors. His 17.7 points a game ranked second in the 3A field, and he showed his ability to score from all three levels throughout the week.

The future Wisconsin quarterback is a gifted passer at 6-8, and showed his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor. He was a key cog in the Warriors defensive game plan against Born in the championship game, helping hold him to 6-21 from the floor. He made eight 3s throughout the week and dished out 14 assists with no turnovers all week.

[player_tooltip player_id="964797" first="Majok" last="Majouk"], Sergeant Bluff-Luton (2021)
Stats: 11.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.7 blocks, 1.3 steals, 44.8 FG%

Majouk is rail thin, but a talented player with high upside because of his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. While he shot just 30.8% from 3 during the week, he showed the ability to knock those shots down. He can pass it, handle it fairly well, and at 6-7 with what appears to be a nearly 7-foot wingspan, he can create some problems on the defensive end of the floor as well.

Stats: 16.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists

CCA’s leading scorer kept getting better as the week progressed, culminating with his consolation game performance of 22 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. He knows he’s a limited 3-point shooter, so he doesn’t do much of that, rather choosing to get to the rim and use a solid mid-range game to do his scoring.
