Show Me Showdown: Class 2 All-Tournament Team

The Hartville Eagles are your Missouri Class 2 State Champions. The Eagles rolled through their competition at the Show Me Showdown with dominant performances in a semi-final win over Milan and in the title game against Skyline. Hartville finishes the season with a 31-2 record. Skyline, the runner-up, ends their year 30-3. In light of the precautions being taken during the Covid-19 pandemic, both Milan and Oran were name Co-3rd place winners. There were still plenty of memorable performances throughout the weekend. Take a look at the Prep Hoops Class 2 All-Tournament Team from the Show Me Showdown: Most Valuable Player: 6’3 Jr Braden Branstetter | Hartville Throughout the season, Hartville was probably the most balanced team I saw. They have 6 guys who are all capable of shouldering the load when needed. At the Show Me Showdown, it was Braden’s turn. He was sensational in both games, scoring a game-high 27 in the semi-final against Milan and 20 in the title game against Skyline. He scored it with an array of feathery jumpers from long distance and pulling up off the dribble inside the arc. He, like all of his teammates, was a menace in transition and used his high IQ to sneak backdoor and time his cuts for easy lay-ins.
