We caught up with Oklahoma Chaos Elite to discuss their upcoming season! Check out what they had to say!
The History: We’ve been around for about 10yrs, the high school divisions are fairly new though, this is our 3rd year of having a 17u team, our director originally started the program in Tulsa Oklahoma.
2020 Goals: Is to compete at a high level each and every weekend we touch the floor, in hopes of our student-athletes earning scholarships to play college ball.
The Mission: Is to help develop young men both on and off the court through the game we love. While also helping them chase and cultivate their dreams of playing basketball at the college level and beyond. But most importantly using basketball as a correlation to real life applications for our young men to become productive citizens of society.
Why Prep Hoops: For the competition, the opportunity to play some of the top programs around the country. Also, the exposure they provide for our student-athletes is second to none( great job Prep Hoops)!!
Team Strengths: We are a very quick and athletic team, a lot of playmakers on the perimeter, and quality depth, also outside shooting.
Players to Watch:
| J’Lynn Counter | a high IQ guy who can do a lot of everything well, great outside shooter, excellent court vision, plays with great pace, sneaky athlete who’s become a more willing defender.
| Anthony Turner | strong athletic kid who’s upside may be the highest on the team, a good outside shooter with a really good handle, can finish with either hand and is extremely coachable, most of all he wants it! Very solid defender as well and gets out in transition.
| Maven Moore | quick, a better athlete than most realize, shot maker, highly coachable, very good defender, can finish at the rim, he will def surprise some people this summer.
| Sam Battle | under the radar kid who’s the defense is impeccable, has become a more willing shot taker, highly unselfish, tough as nails and has a chip on his shoulder, highly coachable and intelligent on the floor, a leader by example and a pleasure to coach.
Circuit Schedule:(Grind Region) Oklahoma State Tournament and Mayhem At The Plex to name a couple.
