1st Team

2022 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="574440" first="Mike" last="Best"] - Wayne Country Day

Best really came into his own on both ends for the Chargers in 2019-20. He’s a lightning quick guard that can get to the rim and create off the dribble. He was a first-team selection in the 2A State Playoffs as Wayne Country Day made it all the way back to State Finals. Keep an eye on him over the next two seasons.

2022 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="577847" first="Nik" last="Graves"] - Durham Academy

Graves was an excellent floor general for the Cavaliers as they won the TISAC and went undefeated. He’s got a strong command of controlling the pace as well as knowing when to look for scoring opportunities. He finished the year with 8.1 ppg, 5.1 apg, 3.1 rpg and 1.3 spg.

2022 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="848086" first="Nayshin" last="Waller"] - Princeton

Waller really came on during his sophomore season for the Bulldogs, as they went 21-5 and 12-0 in conference action. He produced 16.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.5 apg and 2.0 spg as one of the fearless leaders for Princeton in 2019-20. He’ll be a Player of the Year candidate in the conference heading into 2020-21.

2022 Wing [player_tooltip player_id="848089" first="Collin" last="Tanner"] - South Granville

Tanner is a prospect that’s really come along on the wing/rebounding front at South Granville. He contributed solidly as the Sixth Man in their rotation with his ability to knock down 3-pointers and defend with length. He finished the year averaging 11.3 ppg and 4.2 rpg on 40 percent shooting from 3-point land.

2023 Forward [player_tooltip player_id="949375" first="Ta’Korrie" last="Faison"]

Faison is an explosive forward prospect that isn’t afraid to bang on the interior on both ends. He was a key reason for Goldsboro’s success with his ability to attack the rim and finish with authority. As he figures things out on the defensive end, he’ll be a prospect to watch over the next few seasons.

2nd Team

2023 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="854906" first="Quasim" last="Oden"] - Knightdale

Oden made a name for himself on a competitive Knightdale squad in 2019-20 and should make even more waves in 2020-21. He was named an All-Conference performer after the Knights went 6-4 in conference action. He put up 6.0 ppg, 1.5 apg and 1.3 rpg last season. Look for him to breakout as a sophomore.

2023 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="837582" first="Micah" last="Jones"] - Cardinal Gibbons

Jones was a bright spot for the Cardinal Gibbons backcourt this season, as he put up 11.9 ppg, 2.1 apg and 1.3 rpg in his first full season on varsity. He’ll be a young guard to keep an eye on with his ability to make an impact. He posted a career-high 24 points against Sanderson in 2019-20.

Durham is another prospect to keep an eye on at Louisburg alongside [player_tooltip player_id="533518" first="Elijah" last="Jamison"]. He has the ability to create for himself off the dribble and others and can shot it from deep off the catch. He’ll be another potential high-level prospect to keep an eye on with some tutelage from Jamison.

2022 Guard [player_tooltip player_id="945076" first="Zane" last="Cogdell"] - Apex

Cogdell is a combo guard with the ability to adjust to any given situation. He was the unsung leader for the Cougars as he put up 15.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 2019-20. He’s a smart decision-maker and does well playing without the ball on the wing.

2022 Forward [player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"] - Garner Magnet

White is a prospect with high-major potential given his size at 6-foot-9 and activity around the rim on both ends.
