Spring is in the air and that means that the grassroots season is right around the corner. After evaluating talent throughout the H.S season, there are several players that I'll be watching closely this Spring. The weeks before the April 15 signing period are huge for seniors looking for one more chance to grab that elusive scholarship offer. In this article, PH takes a look at some c/o 2020 Nevada players that have a chance to pick up scholarship opportunities with their Spring play.

[player_tooltip player_id="797143" first="Ray" last="Daniels"] 6'6 SF Nevada Hard 2 Guard (#19) - Explosive athlete that is trying to raise his stock just a little more. Daniels already holds an offer from Rider, however, if he plays the way he did during his high school season, then he's going to attract additional interest from someone.

[player_tooltip player_id="925462" first="Jeremiah" last="Beckwood"] 6'5 SF Nevada Ballers (#48) - Just needs to bring it every game. Beckwood has the frame to catch the attention of someone. Coaches looking for wing players will be intrigued by his size and slashing ability. What Beckwood needs to do is show that he understands what his strengths are, and stick with it. At times he likes to settle for the first jumper and it throws his rhythm off a bit. If he stays in an aggressive attack mode, I have no doubt someone will become intrigued by him.

[player_tooltip player_id="925453" first="Jhadon" last="Banks"] 6'5 SF Nevada Ballers (#33) - Between Beckwood and Banks, the Ballers have a pair of imposing wings. Terrific run and jump athlete. Banks is good for one spectacular play a game. Much like Beckwood his frame will catch the eye of someone, now he simply has to put it all together.

[player_tooltip player_id="925456" first="Travis" last="Thomas"] 5'7 PG Foothill Nevada Hard 2 Guard (#37) - Thomas doesn't fit the mold of imposing frame, however, what he does have to attract coaches is attached to his left arm. The Jitterbug PG straight up straps. Thomas has the ability to get hot and change the scoreboard quickly, if he does this during the right live period event then he just may catch the eye of someone.

[player_tooltip player_id="856694" first="Mikey" last="Medlock"] 6'3 SG Undecided (#34) (featured image) - Medlock is one of the most popular players in the city. Part of the reason for the love he gets is because he can flat out play. Good skill set that includes a handle, shooting and playmaking ability. Playing as an unsigned senior during the grassroots season is perfect for a player like Medlock. He'll get the opportunity to show off that skill set in a more wide-open free-flowing setting, which fits perfectly for what he does.
