<p>[player_tooltip player_id="769617" first="Tanner" last="Toolson"], Washington’s Mr. Basketball, helped Union to a 26-1 season record and a third-place trophy.</p>
<p>Union and Glacier Peak were both undefeated heading into the semifinals Friday night. Neither team was able to make it to the championship though as Union lost to Central Valley 63-55 and Mt. Si defeated Glacier Peak 62-49.</p>
<p>Both teams had little time to lick their wounds as they faced off for third place on Saturday at 1 PM.</p>
<p>Union grabbed an early lead and cruised to victory.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="769617" first="Tanner" last="Toolson"] | 6-5 Guard-Union- Class of 2020 |</strong> Toolson showed tremendous resiliency. He played with high energy and was the most athletic player on the floor. He nailed three, deep, 3-point jump shots, played relentlessly on defense, and went after every rebound with a sense of urgency and determination.</p>
<p>Toolson finished his career playing three excellent games in the Tacoma Dome and against the best competition, on the biggest stage, Toolson hit 11 three-pointers and scored 69 points.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="940453" first="Kaden" last="Horn"] | 6-1 Guard-Union-Class of 2021 |</strong> Horn also played well in the trophy game scoring 18 points. In his last three games of the season, against Glacier Peak, Central Valley, and Olympia, Horn hit 9 three-pointers and scored 50 points. The junior will be one of the top-scoring, threats in the state next year.</p>
<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="942046" first="Tucker" last="Molina"] | 6-5 Point Guard-Glacier Peak-Class of 2021 |</strong> Molina is an excellent leader and has great size and length for a point guard. He performed well on the big stage and proved to be a respectable three-point shooter hitting five of nine three-pointers in the three games played in the Dome. Molina is sure to be a highly sought-after point guard thanks to the 25-2 season-record he just orchestrated as a junior.</p>
