With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2022 Point Guards in Alan Karrfalt, Nick Klaiber Nick Klaiber 6'1" | PG Bloomington North | 2022 State IN , and Cayden Vasko Cayden Vasko 6'5" | PG Bosco Institute | 2022 State IN .
Alan Karrfalt – 5’10 PG 2022 – Covington (IN)
Stats: 5.2 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 3.0 apg, 2.3 spg
Thoughts: Alan is a guard that can mix it up a bit in the lane and from deep. He has a pretty solid jumper that works off the catch. He has really tough on the perimeter with his defense, and he is able to get steals at an outstanding rate. He’s a pretty opportunistic scorer, so he could see his numbers fluctuate a bit based on the game but at his best, he’s a knockdown shooter if left open.

– 6’0 PG 2022 – Bloomington North (IN)
Stats: 13.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg, 4.1 apg, 38% 3pt
Thoughts: Nick is a big lead guard who has outstanding handles and can create well not only for himself but others as well. He is a good passer who sees plays develop. He’s also a decent shooter who could use a little more strength and see the release become more consistent. His shot tends to be more of a push shot at times, but in the lane, he is a physical scorer who always seems to finish at the rim.

– 6’2 PG 2022 – Lowell (IN)
Stats: 8.0 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.3 apg, 34% 3pt
Thoughts: Vasko is a growing guard that has added a ton of size in the last year. Now getting closer to 6’2 at this point, Vasko has the ball-handling going well and showed enough that he should be a guy that stays on the ball long term. His jumper looks to still be a useful tool for him, but we would like to see him become a little more aggressive with it. His length seems to be adding some more value as a perimeter player and could turn into a better defensive presence down the road.
