2023 Rankings: Guards No. 11 – No. 30

<p>The 2023 rankings in North Carolina have made their debut. Here’s a look at some guards to watch in the new rankings from No. 11 - No. 30.</p> <h5>No. 14 [player_tooltip player_id="947288" first="Jaylen" last="Curry"] - Vance</h5> <p>Curry is another prospect in the Vance backcourt with tons of ability in his wheelhouse, especially as a slasher. He put up 11.4 ppg, 5.0 apg, 2.7 rpg and 2.6 spg for the Cougars as a freshman. As their top playmaker, he’s due to make waves as quite the combo guard in the coming years. </p> <h5>No. 16 [player_tooltip player_id="854899" first="Trey" last="Horton"] - Davidson Day</h5> <p>Horton was a member of the NCISAA 2A State Championship squad that went 30-1 on the season at Davidson Day. With [player_tooltip player_id="833097" first="Jackson" last="Threadgill"] on the way out, it opens the door for Horton to have a breakout type season in Year 2.</p> <h5>No. 19 [player_tooltip player_id="951365" first="Keenan" last="Wilkins"] - Hendersonville</h5> <p>Wilkins is a 5-foot-9 guard that plays bigger than his size with the ball in his hands. He was a top player in the rotation alongside [player_tooltip player_id="577838" first="Dwight" last="Canady"] Jr., putting up 17.9 ppg, 2.9 spg, 2.6 rpg and 1.7 spg in his first year on varsity. Look for his stock to grow after making a run in the 2A State Playoffs.</p> <h5>No. 22 [player_tooltip player_id="854883" first="Joshua" last="Bullock"] - Northern Nash</h5> <p>Bullock played sparingly this season on varsity, producing 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.6 assists per game. He’s a shifty playmaker with the ability to take over a game. He’ll be a breakout prospect to watch in 2020-21 after contributing in 2019-20. </p> <h5>No. 28 [player_tooltip player_id="848090" first="Tristan" last="Harkins"] - Pine Forest</h5> <p>Harkins is a combo guard with nice size at 6-foot-3. He’s got the confidence to put the ball on the floor and finish strong through traffic or dial it up from 3-point range. He’ll be one to watch alongside [player_tooltip player_id="949379" first="Isaiah" last="Washington"].</p> <h5>No. 30 [player_tooltip player_id="854890" first="Kobe" last="George"] - Ben L. Smith</h5> <p>George played behind some experienced guards in 2019-20 and after learning a ton from them, he’s due to break out in the Golden Eagles backcourt as a sophomore. He’ll be a combo guard prospect to watch at 6-foot-3 that can get it done on both ends.</p>
