S.A.C Final 4 Matchup Preview!

<p><i>The Final Four is set for one of the most competitive conferences in the state. The Sandhills Athletic Conference Tournament began this week and will continue with Semi-Finals on Thursday and the Championship on Friday</i>. </p> <p>Northwood took care of business in the firs round with a win over Cape Fear Christian which sets up a third matchup with # 1 seed Trinity Christian who enters the tournament with a record of 21-1. In both matchups between these teams, the games went to the wire, with TCS winning the latest meeting at the buzzer on a three point shot.</p> <p>There will be plenty of talent on the court but a few names that we feel could be potential game changers for both squads. Northwood Temple will look to their Seniors in Forward <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/reggie-raynor/">Reggie Raynor</a></b> and Guard <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jay-hickman/">Jay Hickman</a></b>, but Sophomore Guard <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jaquantae-harris/">Jaquantae Harris</a></b> is the type of player that can score 20+ in a small amount of time.</p> <p>Trinity Christian is led by Senior Forward <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/todd-burt/">Todd Burt</a></b> but gets things done by Committee with numerous players that can go for double figures at any given time. Sophomore Guard trio <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/cam-oates/">Cam Oates</a></b>, <b>Freddie Dillione</b> and <b>Jamari McDougald</b> are all players that can get it going in a heartbeat. </p> <p>The second semi-final matchup should be a good one as Freedom Christian and Village Christian will match up with this being an unofficial home game for Freedom. These teams split with a win each during the regular season and both feature a nice amount of college prospect talent.</p> <p>Village Christian started off the season hot being led by Senior Guard <b>Zavian Mclean</b> who should be a front runner for Conference Player Of The Year. VCA also features unsigned Senior 6’5 Guard <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/justin-thomas/">Justin Thomas</a></b> who can score the ball in bunches as well as Senior Wing <b>Josh Reid</b> who bring the ability to score and rebound to the floor. The X factor for the Knights will be Sophomore Guard <b><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jalen-higgins/">Jalen Higgins</a></b>, if he is knocking down the three point shot, he makes their team much more dangerous. </p> <p>Freedom Christian comes in as one of the bigger teams in the area , led by 6’9 Senior Forward <b>Aymeric Toussaint</b> who will most likely be a late D1 pickup. The Patriots also feature unsigned Senior PG <b>Marique Alvarado</b> who has played at a high level this season and Junior Shooting Guard <b>Jayden Doyle</b> who currently holds an offer from Howard University.</p>
