The bigger the stage, the brighter the spotlight. Here are some players who have a chance to make breakout postseason runs, ranging from established household names to the quietly productive. You might notice the prevalence of seniors on this list. It is not an accident. Seniors play with incredible urgency and emotional devotion this time of year.

Region 2AAA

TEAMS ALIVE

#1 Oak Ridge
#4 William Blount

#2 Bearden
#3 Knoxville Central

#1 Maryville
#4 Karns

#2 Clinton
#3 Farragut

2021 G Jeremy Miller – Oak Ridge

Volume scorer picking up the slack after a strong senior class moved on. Miller scores in a variety of ways.

2020 F Tanner Prats – William Blount

William Blount High School lost their last two games and it will hurt their draw in the Regional Tournament. Instead of facing a manageable #2 or #3 seed, Blount is now paired with the mighty #1 seed out of District 3AAA. Prats is a workhorse of a rebounder and a scorer. Between Prats and Cameron George the team will cause fits on the offensive glass. Still, the Governors have an unpleasant tendency to have bothersome scoring droughts. Prats and his fellow senior George need to curtail these in the elimination game.

2020 PG Joe Anderson – Maryville

The slickest handles north of JaCobi Wood. Joe is diabolical in the open floor and is more than willing to stick a three-pointer in your face if left open. Maryville is more than Joe Anderson, but they are nowhere near their best without him.

2021 G Greg Moore – Knoxville Central

Thin, tall guard with plenty of potential. Last summer Greg ran with Team Passion Elite 16u, starting almost every game. Moore's court vision is decent and should improve over time. The most exciting aspects of Moore's game are his height for the position, capable handles, and willingness to work in the off-season. Look for Moore to make a big leap in the coming AAU season. He has college basketball in his future.

2020 F Ashton Maples – Maryville

Active forward. Maples provides Maryville's Rebels court balance. Anybody with eyes and hands is an ideal passing option for Joe Anderson and Maples has quality eyes and hands. Maples is a handful on the offensive glass.

2022 G Elijah Bredwood – Bearden

Slippery. Bredwood carved up two persons as if they were inanimate objects in the wonderfully competitive District Tournament Title Game. His handle is special, but it only leaps to incredible thanks to his innovative mind. Without Tyler Nordin (injury), Bearden needs secondary scorers and Bredwood fits that need.

2020 PF Traven Jackson – Karns @JacksonTraven

Maryville College commit 2020 6'5 F Traven Jackson is a big body with big bounce on the low blocks. Jackson creates problems for opposing forwards. Look for Jackson to give his team a few blocks and maybe a steal in their fight for survival. He put up 18p, 6r, 4a, 4b against Oak Ridge last week.

2020 G Robby Geron – Farragut

Robby Geron always creates his own shots. He is basically a point guard with scoring capabilities. Geron does have the occasional quiet night scoring, but he always makes a difference with the pass and on defense. High effort guy.
