<p class="p1"><span class="s1">UIL 6A Region II first round (Bi-District) playoff matchup between Cypress Park and Pflugerville Hendrickson. Only one can move on to the next round here is the synopsis and upshot of the game.</span></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Hendrickson jumped out on the Tigers and had them on the ropes early in the game. Cypress Park couldn’t get the looks they wanted and the game was looking like it was going to be a lopsided event. Then as the second quarter starts the Tigers applied pressure on the Hawks and forced multiple turnovers and went on a nice run to take the lead. In this small gym, it sounded as if thousands of fans were at the game. The Tigers kept applying the pressure to start off the third. It was a late fourth-quarter push by the Hawks that brought them back in the game from down by 9 and hit a big-time trey ball with 5 seconds left in the game to send it into overtime. In overtime, the Hawks continued their momentum and came away as the victors. </span></p> <table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 62.9729%;"> <tbody> <tr> <td style="width: 19.4545%;"> </td> <td style="width: 6.74249%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>1Q</strong></span></td> <td style="width: 6.59516%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2Q</strong></span></td> <td style="width: 6.34241%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>3Q</strong></span></td> <td style="width: 6.31551%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>4Q</strong></span></td> <td style="width: 7.83577%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>OT</strong></span></td> <td style="width: 5.43576%; text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Final</strong></span></td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 19.4545%;"><strong>Pflugerville Hendrickson Hawks</strong></td> <td style="width: 6.74249%; text-align: center;">14</td> <td style="width: 6.59516%; text-align: center;">16</td> <td style="width: 6.34241%; text-align: center;">13</td> <td style="width: 6.31551%; text-align: center;">20</td> <td style="width: 7.83577%; text-align: center;">12</td> <td style="width: 5.43576%; text-align: center;">75</td> </tr> <tr> <td style="width: 19.4545%;"><strong>Cypress Park Tigers</strong></td> <td style="width: 6.74249%; text-align: center;">5</td> <td style="width: 6.59516%; text-align: center;">26</td> <td style="width: 6.34241%; text-align: center;">16</td> <td style="width: 6.31551%; text-align: center;">16</td> <td style="width: 7.83577%; text-align: center;">7</td> <td style="width: 5.43576%; text-align: center;">70</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p class="p3"> </p> <p class="p3"><strong><span class="s2"><span style="color: #ff6600;">Jaden Williams</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">5’11 PG | 2021 | Pflugerville Hendrickson </span></span></strong></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Williams has blow-by speed and the ability to play the game at multiple paces. He is very crafty with the ball in his hands. He was dropping dimes as well as knocked down a lot of tough mid-range jumpers. Has a very quick first step and is explosive around the rim. Finished with 22 points, 6 assists, and 2 steals</span></p> <p class="p3"><strong><span class="s2"><span style="color: #ff6600;">Keshawn Williams</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">6’2 SG | 2021 | Pflugerville Hendrickson </span></span></strong></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">He knocked down a tough game tie’n deep ball shot at the end of the 4th quarter to push the game into overtime. Moved great without the ball in his hands and knocked down key free throws in clutch moments of the game. Has a good motor and has quick defensive lateral movement to check opponents. Finished with 14 points and 4 rebounds </span></p> <p class="p3"><strong><span class="s2"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/zechariah-selvage/"><span style="color: #ff6600;"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/zechariah-selvage/">Zechariah Selvage</a></span></a> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">5’11 PG | 2020 | Cypress Park</span> <span style="color: #ff6600;">PH</span><span style="color: #ffcc00;">TX</span><span style="color: #ff0000;">200 </span></span></strong></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Zech is one of the fastest guards from baseline to baseline with the ball in his hands. He is able to break down a press with his quickness and offensive IQ. His three-point shot has really come along way throughout the season. Has a nice mid-range pull up package. Finished with both hands around the rim and looks to create for his teammates throughout the game. Finished with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists. </span></p> <p class="p3"><strong><span class="s2"><span style="color: #ff6600;">Kesean Bennett</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">6’4 W | 2020 | Cypress Park</span></span></strong></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">Kesean played solid around the rim. He was always in the right spot for easy buckets and was pulling down boards. He is an athletic wing that can play at the rim. Has a cannon of an arm on long inbound passes that are right on the money and should’ve been a QB. Finished with 16 points and 8 rebounds</span></p> <p class="p3"><strong><span class="s2"><span style="color: #ff6600;">Anthony Ferguson Jr.</span> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">6’4 SG | 2021 | Cypress Park</span></span></strong></p> <p class="p3"><span class="s2">AJ took a while to get going in the game. The shots that he made were big-time shots. The defensive stops and turnovers that he forced were at the big moments in the game as well. Solid off-ball guard that moves well without the ball in his hands. Active on the defensive end of the floor as well as bouncy two that can play above the rim. Finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals in the game. </span></p>
