Morton Ranch vs Sam Houston

The game started off firing on all cylinders as both teams were trading buckets early on. Sam Houston went on a bit of a dry spell and Morton Ranch didn’t miss too many shots. The Mavericks opened up the second quarter on the same hit streak as everyone on the team was knocking down trey balls. They also was forcing the Tigers to turn the ball over a lot. As the third quarter rolled around the Mavericks onslaught continued and they held Sam Houston scoreless for the first 5 min of the third quarter.

SH: 9-12-8-22= 51

MR: 17-23-20-11 = 71

John Shanu 6’9 C | 2020 | Sam Houston

Rim running big that was very active on the glass for his squad. He challenges every shot and alters a ton of shots. He had two dunks in the game. He currently holds two NCAA D1 offers on the table. He finished with 7 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and had 2 blocked shots.

Cam Amboree 6’1 PG | 2022 | Sam Houston

Cam is a guard with a good IQ and a deep ball shot. He has great elevation on his jumper for a young prospect and he has a quick release. Reads the defense well and is able to create for his teammates. Finished the game with 14 points and 4 assists.

Eddie Lampkin 6’10 C | 2020 | Morton Ranch [TCU] PHTX200

Eddie brought his tool belt with him this game. He got the better of the matchup of the two Bigs. Finished well around the basket used his size and length to alter shots. He was a force on the glass as well. That makes two big games back-to-back for him. Finished the game with 21 points and pulled down 15 rebounds.

L.J. Cryer 6’0 PG | 2020 | Morton Ranch [Baylor] PHTX200

LJ has a tough dribble packet within his game. Great footwork to create a lot of space when he has the ball in his hands. He can create his own shot at any given moment on the floor and from anywhere on the court. He also is a willing passer and got his teammates involved in the game. Finished the game with 19 points, dished out 6 assists, grabbed 4 rebounds, came away with 3 steals.

Westley Sellers 6’1 G | 2020 | Morton Ranch PHTX200

Westley is like a Swiss Army Knife for every team he plays on rather if it’s School ball or AAU. He is tough and does it all and will guard the best player every game every possession. He is definitely a guy that any college coaches would love to have on there team and deserves the looks. He is a true stat sheet stuffer. You name it this kid does it and plays with a super high motor. Finished the game with 8 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, and had 3 steals.
