Nevada Player Rankings: C/O 2020 Biggest Risers

On a team playing for a conference title, Holmes has been a dog. A true 3 and D player, Holmes has harassed the opposing team's best offensive player while serving as a true 2nd option for the Aggies. His 17ppg is good for 2nd on the team.</em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kareem-rowe/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kareem-rowe/">Kareem Rowe</a></a> 6'6 PF McQueen - ↑UR - 23</p> <p><em>Rowe has exploded into the rankings because of pure production. He has put together an outstanding season from the start. Already one of the top players in the Reno area, Rowe has put up double-doubles in 12 games this season. He currently is one of the leading scorers and rebounders in the state.</em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kendrick-gilbert/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/kendrick-gilbert/">Kendrick Gilbert</a></a> 6'5 PF Durango - ↑32 - 15</p> <p><em>For Gilbert, his combination of production and intangible impact on a winning team has moved him up in the rankings. A true star in his role, Gilbert does all the little things to help the Trailblazers win. His rebounding, interior defense, and leadership have been critical to the success of his team this year.</em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/nati-asfaw/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/nati-asfaw/">Nati AsFaw</a></a> 6'5 PF Del Sol ↑27 - 18</p> <p><em>Asfaw has been one of the top players since his freshmen season. Playing for 3A Del Sol, he at times gets forgotten. The reality is, Asfaw has been dominant and consistent throughout his career. This year has been no different as he has been the leading force behind a contending Del Sol team. </em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/james-wesbster/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/james-wesbster/">James Webster</a></a> 6'4 SF Spring Valley ↑47 - 31</p> <p><em>Webster is part of a solid Big 3 for Spring Valley. What this means is that he is going to share about a 3rd of his 1st option shots. While this may reduce his overall numbers, he certainly has made the most of his opportunities. Webster has used his downhill attacking style to get to the line and put pressure on the defense. He has played well all season helping Spring Valley to a 17 - 7 record.</em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/mikey-medlock/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/mikey-medlock/">Mikey Medlock</a></a> 6'3 SG Arbor View ↑52 - 34</p> <p><em>Medlock was identified as a potential sleeper early in the year. He has not disappointed. Playing for a senior-laden Arbor View squad, Medlock has provided shooting, and ballhandling. His versatility has allowed him to defend both backcourt spots as well as play on and off the ball. Medlock's 12ppg is good for 3rd on the team.</em></p> <p><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/luis-avilia/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/luis-avilia/">Luis Avilia</a></a> 6'8 PF SECTA ↑UR - 47</p> <p><em>About 4 months ago, I received a message from a college coach urging me to "check out the kid from SECTA" I'm happy for the tip. Avila is a highly-skilled forward who is much more comfortable facing up versus playing with his back to the basket. A good shooter, Avila is a perimeter threat, with the ability to show the ball and make a play. He has shot up the rankings with his production and potential.
