In 5A there are a lot of teams that are still in the hunt. They are being lead by some skilled players which has made 5A even more unpredictable.

Region 5

With multiple teams in the hunt in Region 5 with Farmingrton, Bountiful, Woods Cross and Box Elder. Each of these teams have players that can make a major impact. Box Elder's 6'7 Parker Buchanan is a load and has some skill to make teams pay. He had a huge 29 point game against Woods Cross that shook Region 5 up a bit. Woods Cross at full strength has a couple of players that can score. They are lead by sharp shooter Jake Howe who has a complete game. Jake is putting up 15 points a game and is playing great defense. Bountiful has a nice duo in Cam Chism and Robert Whaley, When they're on they could be trouble. Farmington had an impressive 13 point win against Bountiful. Farmington's Collin Chandler had a huge 22 point performance in the win.

Region 6

Region 6 is competitive with the 4 teams up top buy we are seeing some great play from Bronx Ashby at Hillcrest and Nate Warr at Highland, East, Olympus, Murray and Brighton are in a battle. East's Andre Mulibea might be the toughest player to defend in the region. Murray is getting great play from their freshman Chudi Anosike and Jaxon Workman. Olympus's Ben Krystowiak is leading the way for the Titans but he has a supporting cast that can score. Lander Barton is keeping Brighton in games. There should be an interesting finish in this region that will definitely affect the RPI.

Region 7

With 6 of 7 region teams with a shot to make a significant jump in Region 7 standings it makes it difficult to know who will come out of this region on top. Alta is getting great production from Jaden Brownell and Hunter Humphries. Timpview has three players giving great minutes in Coleman Ford, Jake Wahlin and Jaxon Santiago. Lehi has a nice duo filling it up in Noa Gonsalves and Tyson Hawkins. Orem is a team to fear especially when Taft Mitchell has the ball in his hands, Finally, Timpanogos' Trey Anderson and Jaxon Holcombe are a tough duo to stop as well. A lot of quality players from top to bottom in this region. Should be some tough games to come on the back end of region play.

Region 8

It looks like Springville is in control here and they are lead by Zach Visintein the big fella is a a tough player to defend. After suspended a few player Maple Mountain could be in trouble. Wasatch is lead by Will Harris and they are playing well as of late. Salem Hills has rebounded from a tough start to the year. Although 5A is wide open Springville is a dangerous team out of Region 8.
