Lawrence North defeats Lawrence Central
Lawrence North stays undefeated as they beat, yet again, Lawrence Central, 51-46. This was the final game of a great Marion County Tournament that has been going on since Tuesday. Senior Tony Perkins was the leading scorer and rebounder for North as he dropped 18 points and 10 rebounds. Dre Davis lead Central in scoring with his 20 points. This was said to be a fantastic game. These two will likely meet again in Sectional.
Central Noble beats Prairie Heights
The Cougars defeated the Pirates 76-70 in the championship game of the Northeast Corner Conference Tournament last night. This was a clash between two of 2A’s top teams. 2022 SG Connor Essegian was the leading scorer of the night with his 34. 2020 PG Mike Perkins lead the Pirates with 23 points. Both teams are 12-2 at the moment.
Floyd Central Beats North Harrison
The 4A Highlanders beat the 3A Cougars last night, 63-58, in what was said to be a close one throughout. 2021 SG Jake Heidbreder had a career high 33 points that helped lead his team to victory. 2022 prospect Logan McIntire of North Harrison was their leading scorer with 20 points. Floyd moves to 9-3 on the season while Harrison drops to 8-5.
