Ranking prospects is a difficult, controversial, and thankless task for basketball scouts. Earlier, we took a look at the class of 2020 rankings in a different way - by the numbers. We found key numbers on the list and glanced at the player that filled that spot. Now we'll do the same for the class of 2021.

1

[player_tooltip player_id="611404" first="Kobe" last="Bufkin"] (CG, Grand Rapids Christian)

Bufkin was a fast riser this spring and summer. He's become a top 100 recruit and a national target. Bufkin is an athlete with a smooth lefty stroke.

10

[player_tooltip player_id="611420" first="Julian" last="Lewis"] (G/F, Ann Arbor Huron)

Lewis is another quick rising prospect. He's one of the top perimeter defenders and rebounding guards in Michigan. He should see an influx of Division 1 offers.

25

[player_tooltip player_id="811105" first="Marcus" last="Wourmann"] (PG, East Lansing)

Wourmann is too often overlooked and should be considered one of the top point guards in the junior class. He's a strong ball handler that keeps it low and protected.

50

Damon Terrell (PF, Communication Arts & Media)

This young man is a value at 50. He's a long leaper that can play above the rim.

75

Bryce VanderWiere (PF, Schoolcraft)

VanderWiere is a nice physical presence in the paint. He's active on the glass and moves well on defense. VanderWiere has a nice mid range jumper to go with it.

100

[player_tooltip player_id="814593" first="Kaleb" last="Mitchelson"] (CG, Muskegon Reeths-Puffer)

Mitchelson is a big value at this number. He's a physical driver that can dish off penetration.

125

[player_tooltip player_id="814619" first="Tyler" last="Belskus"] (F, Saline)

Belskus is an athletic combo forward. He's always around the rim on a shot and is a confident shooter from the corners.

150

[player_tooltip player_id="814644" first="Derrell" last="Woods Jr."] (PG, Taylor Trillium)

Woods Jr. is always capable of having a huge night. He's a prolific score first type point guard that can play at any pace.

175

[player_tooltip player_id="814669" first="Dion" last="Ross"] (PG, HFASCS)

Ross is a smooth athlete at the shooting guard position. He's fast with the ball and can get hot shooting.

200

[player_tooltip player_id="814695" first="Jacob" last="Moceri"] (SG, Warren De La Salle)

Moceri is another young man that is a steal for a college coach at this number. He takes advantage of scoring opportunities and doesn't need the offense to run through him to put up double figures.
