Prospect Spotlight: Thomas Kurowski Jr. (2021)

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814621" first="Thomas" last="Kurowski"] Jr. </strong>moved to Michigan in 8th grade, and he's been making waves in both the Michigan and Indiana basketball basketball communities ever since. He's a 6'4" junior shooting guard from Sturgis High School. Through 5 games this season, <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>is averaging 26.4 points per game, 5 assists per game, and, 4 steals per game. </p> <p><strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>has an elite skill set. Obviously from his stats above, the young man can score. He's an excellent shooter from behind the arc, showing good shot selection and hitting at a high percentage. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>can also finish at the rim with authority, throwing down emphatic dunks. It's important to note that there is way more to his game than just scoring. He facilitates and creates opportunities for his teammates as well, hitting them with crisp and accurate passes. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>has a keen understanding of the game of basketball. Watching him play, you can tell that he's been raised around knowledge of the game. </p> <p></p> <p><strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>knows that improvement and experience on the big stage are critical to his future success. He's currently working to improve his consistency when shooting off the dribble. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>considers his Sturgis team winning their division for the first time as a part the Wolverine Conference as his top moment in the the game so far. He's looking forward to an intense rivalry game against Three Rivers this season. </p> <p>The recruiting process is under way for <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814621" first="Thomas" last="Kurowski"] Jr. </strong>He's received interest from Division 1 schools and the Ivy League have been particularly active. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>took a couple unofficial visits to Ivy League schools last summer. He has a lot to offer a program at the next level. He will bring a competitive desire to be great. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>will provide a college team with an intelligent decision maker and a player that makes his teammates better. </p> <p><strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>is driven by his goals. He wants to have an all around winning season, including winning all Sturgis' home games and making a run at a district championship. <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>wants to be recognized as one of the top players in Michigan. He's aiming at playing Division 1 college basketball. Off the court, <strong>Kurowski Jr. </strong>wants to become an engineer or pursue a medical career. </p> <p>"My greatest motivation to achieving my goals is my Dad because he is always pushing me and challenging me to improve.  And playing for him helps me always have someone on me, who cares and wants me to get better on the court and off, at home and in school.  He knows what it takes, because he played at a high level in college, and I want to try and follow in his footsteps."</p> <p>- <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="814621" first="Thomas" last="Kurowski"] Jr. </strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
