Friday’s Daily Dive: Academy-Providence OT Thriller, Whitaker Career Night, Bedford Stuns Jeffersonville

<p>We are almost at the end of Week 10 of Indiana high school hoops but this loaded weekend is just getting started. Here are some takeaways from Friday night’s action.</p> <p><b>Christian Academy Beat Providence in OT   </b></p> <p>This was possibly the game of the night. Christian Academy was able to beat Providence in an OT thriller beating the Pioneers 47-42. 2020 PF <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/bailey-conrad/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/bailey-conrad/">Bailey Conrad</a></a> might have been the player of the game as he came up huge in OT. He finished the game with 16 points and pretty much won them the game. With the win, Academy moves to 9-7 and Providence drops to 11-6.                </p> <p><b>Greencastle's Whitaker Has Career Night</b></p> <p>Tonight saw Greencastle take care of Owen Valley, 71-54. The story of the night however was how 2021 SG <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/brody-whitaker/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/brody-whitaker/">Brody Whitaker</a></a> not only scored a career high 47 points tonight and joined the 1000 point club, but that he is also 1 point away from the school record. Greencastle moves to 8-4 on the season. It is safe to say that Whitaker will not be forgetting this night anytime soon. What a night for this 2021 prospect.                   </p> <p><b>Bedford North Lawrence Stuns Jeffersonville  </b></p> <p>Going into the game tonight, not very many people gave BNL a chance to win and man did the Stars prove some people wrong. 2021 SG <strong>Kooper Staley</strong> had his best game of his high school career dropping 26 points and was the leading scorer of the night. His teammate, 2020 SG <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/brayton-bailey/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/brayton-bailey/">Brayton Bailey</a></a> added 23 points. Jeffersonville's 2020 stud SF <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/will-lovings-watts/"><a href="https://prephoops.com/player/will-lovings-watts/">Will Lovings-Watts</a></a> finished with 17 points. BNL is secretly having a pretty good season being 4-1 in conference play.   </p>
