The Durham Academy Cavaliers and Village Christian Academy Knights found themselves in an overtime thriller in Game 3 of the City of Oaks Classic. Here's a look at what we learned.

The Cavaliers have found their confidence

Village Christian led for much of the game but Durham Academy kept battling back until in overtime, they finally got the victory in the end 67-62 in overtime. Four players from Durham Academy finished scoring in double figures and they shot 11-of-23 from 3-point land as a team in the win. 2021 guard Brent Randleman was one key player with 15 points and six rebounds in the end.

Cole Sinclair is one to watch at Durham Academy

Durham Academy is without 2022 top prospect M.J. Rice but it hasn't slowed down the performance of 2021 guard Cole Sinclair. Sinclair put up 24 points, three rebounds and two assists on 7-of-13 shooting from the floor and 3-of-7 shooting from 3-point land. He stepped up big with 17 points in the second half and overtime to boost the Cavaliers to victory. He's a confident scorer that can create off the bounce and off the catch.

Harris and Graves know how to compete

2021 wing Toby Harris and 2022 guard Nik Graves are two prospects that know how to compete on both ends. Graves finished the game with 11 points (3 made 3-pointers) and nine assists while Harris finished with 14 points and six rebounds on four made 3-pointers. Harris made a big 3-pointer to give the Cavaliers a two-point lead as time winded down to the final seconds. Graves nearly finished with a double-double and shot the ball efficiently from the field. With these two on the floor, it's hard to root against this Durham Academy squad.

Zavian McLean is a steal for Columbia

Zavian McLean played a strong game for Village Christian despite the result. He put up 33 points along with five rebounds, two assists and two steals while shooting 14-of-21 from the field. He also went 2-for-2 from 3-point range. McLean was unstoppable sans the few shots he missed down the stretch. He's a downhill threat every time he gets an opportunity to drive to the basket. The Ivy League will be in for a treat when McLean arrives for college next season.
