Week 1 Recap

<p>With Week 1 in the books we look at what stood out and what players performed well. With a handful of match-up's that we were looking at there were some that lived up to the hype and a few disappointments but it's early in the season.A few new names and some old names make the list of players that performed well. </p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Jordan vs. Bountiful </span></p> <p>This was one of those games we were looking at as there were some good match-up's. Dyson Koehler recorded a double-double. Jordan also got a solid performance from Micah Ashman as he put in 19 points. Robert Whaley and Cameron Chism combined for 40 points but it wasn't enough.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Corner Canyon vs. American Fork</span></p> <p>The Chargers jumped all over a depleted AF squad Carter Welling looked good and so did Trace Ross</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Pleasant Grove vs. Timpview</span></p> <p>Looking at some other pre-season ranking we knew Timpview had a shot and they did against PG as Coleman Ford had himself a game. One of the highest IQ PG's in the 2020 Class. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Herriman vs. West Jordan</p> <p>Kase Peterson had a double-double and LeGrand Burgess scored 20 as they had 8 other players score. </p> <p>Trevon Snoddy- Skyridge</p> <p>With a solid performance as Trevon tallied up 26 points and hauled in 7 rebounds as he helped make a good 5A team look bad. Trevon is a solid player that does a little bit of everything.</p> <p>Corbin Zetner- Lone Peak</p> <p>In his return to Wasatch Academy Corbin scored 29 points and gave Lone Peak a chance but they fell 6 points shy of a major upset. </p> <p>Taft Mitchell- Orem</p> <p>Taft had himself a game against Wasatch as he put up 32. Kid is athletic and has a good all-around game. </p> <p>Talon Valdes- Juan Diego</p> <p>The speedy guard was able to pace Juan Diego with 24 points shooting over 78% from the field. </p> <p>Jaden Brownell- Alta</p> <p>Jaden a nice 6'7 player from Alta had a good game as he scored 23 points. Kid can play and has length to go along with skill. </p> <p>Derek Smith- Delta</p> <p>Derek continues were he left off last season as he put up 28 points. Expect big games from this player going forward. </p> <p>Trace Ross-Corner Canyon</p> <p>Trace Ross had 23 points in a blowout against American Fork.</p> <p>Andre Mulibea- East</p> <p>Andre led all scores as he put up 30 points in a loss.</p> <p>Collin Chandler-Farmington</p> <p>Collin scored 36 points to beat East </p> <p>Jordan Citte- Bonneville</p> <p>Jordan had 27 points as they fell to Northridge in OT.</p> <p>Mason Falsev- Sky View</p> <p>36 points to start off the season</p> <p>Cameron Millican- Taylorsville</p> <p>Cam had 26 points as he helped his team win their opening game.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
