Jalen Blackmon scores 30 points on his way to scoring title
Marion defeated Richmond last night 81-66 behind another one of Jalen Blackmon’s 30 point games. It is no secret that Blackmon has made it clear that he wants to go after and beat Damon Bailey’s all time scoring record in the state of Indiana. Blackmon is one of the top leading scorers in the state averaging 29.0 ppg. With only being a junior, If he can keep up his impressive stat line, there is a chance that he could accomplish his goal.
Houston commit Kiyron Powell puts up double-double
The University of Houston is in line to get a major player in Powell. His team, Evansville Bosse, destroyed Evansville Memorial last night 87-46. Powell would go on to have one of his many double-doubles of his high school career with having 13 points and 14 rebounds. To add to that, Powell also had 5 blocks and 4 assists.
D’Andre Davis has himself a night.
Lawrence North as a team is playing some of the basketball in the state. The leader of this team is without question top 2020 prospect D’Andre Davis, who is committed to Louisville. Last night he proved that he is the best dropping a huge stat line of 31 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the Wildcats’ win over Crispus Attucks 83-52. This team is rolling on its way to their first State Championship since 2006.
