SD Team Rankings: Week 2
Two weeks into the season we start to see the top ten landscape take shape. We have had some nice match-ups so far and more are expected over the next few weeks. New teams enter the top ten in class AA and class B. Class A teams stay the same, however they get shuffled around a bit.
Class AA:
Yankton won the premiere match-up between them and Brandon Valley. Going into that game, the winner would cement themselves as the #1 team in AA. SF Lincoln secured a very nice win over SF O’Gorman. New to the top ten is Sioux Falls Washington who smacked Brookings and then battled SF Roosevelt all the wire to the wire. RC Stevens drops to #10 at 1-3 but who is more deserving or talented be at #10…?

Class A:
STM looks good and Dakota Valley is putting it on people. SF Christian has looked good so far with their only loss coming this past weekend to class AA SF O’Gorman as they hold at #3 and Sioux Valley gets into the top four.. Tea made the biggest jump after the win over Dell Rapids. Honestly, the #5 through #9 spots are all teams that are capable to be int he top 3 this season and most of them will continue to play each other and go back and forth – and include Dakota Valley and SFC in this group. That Dakota 12 conference is FOR REAL!!

Sully Buttes has the only loss on the board as they fell opening night to Lyman in overtime. With Sully Buttes dropping and everyone else winning, the rankings stay pretty similar. Top four hold steady, and White River jumps into the top 5 as they defeated Class A Crow Creek. New to the rankings is Howard as they start 3-0 on the season have have lots of talented players – look out for them this year.
