Lawrence Central wins Hall of Fame Classic
Lawrence Central won what was probably the most stacked holiday tournament in Indiana with other teams being Silver Creek, Lafayette Jeff, and Heritage Hills. Central met Silver Creek in the championship game and smacked them 63-31. This win shows that D’Andre Davis and Lawrence Central might be the all out best team currently in the state. Trey Kaufman and the Dragons will look to bounce back as they face Charlestown next.
Blackhawk Christian wins Noblesville Holiday Tournament
Blackhawk Christian defeated Columbus North, 62-59, in what was a really fun game at the Noblesville Holiday Tournament. Both of these squads are two of the state’s top teams and both have great prospects in Caleb Furst (Blackhawk) and Blake Barker (C-North). Both teams will be looking to continue their excellent season as Blackhawk goes on to face Adams Central and Columbus North takes on Terre Haute South next.
Bloomginton South wins Richmond Tournament
Bloomington South was extremely dominant in this tournament. No games that they played in were even close as they won all of them by 20+ points. Indiana University commit Anthony Leal was the tourney’s MVP as he had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 assists in the final game. Zionsville was able to make the championship but loss to the Panthers 59-38. South continues to role.
