Through eight games Hadley is scoring 17.6 points a game hitting on 55 percent of his 13-14 shots a game including a third of his 27 three-point attempts. Hadley has made 73 percent of his foul shots, grabbing four boards a game and dishing out a couple assists a contest.
“I feel like the season is going well,” Hadley explained. “However, I feel like we aren’t even close to the level we are capable of playing at yet. I fit in extremely well with the new squad, especially with shooters around me and a very good lead guard that creates so much us.”
The Raiders are 7-1 with a highlight win over Minnehaha Academy but an opening season loss to Eden Prairie. Around Hadley the Raiders are getting 14 a game from Curtis Jones, ten a game from Amari Carter, and a dozen points as well as nine assists a contest from Tre Holloman.
“My personal goals are much like the team’s goals,” Hadley explained. “Besides the obvious goals like winning conference, winning our section and winning state our goals are to basically stay together as one! That is really important to both me and the team, we all know how good we become when we are working together as one!”
Another item that Hadley is working towards is college basketball. Hadley took a visit to South Dakota this fall and he had some quality offers from last summer but right now things are open.
“I’m looking for a college that will utilize my size and skill set and one that has a good developmental program that will develop me into the player I wish to become,” J’Vonne said.
Several schools are calling with interest at the moment and many will likely make the trip to see if Hadley fits for them.
“I am hearing from a mixture of Mid and High majors, still the regulars are in contact with me as well though,” Hadley explained. “Wofford, Omaha, Milwaukee, Radford, Drake and others are new ones that have been in contact lately and new ones keep coming in.”
