An elite forward prospect who brings speed, length and a lot of hustle to the floor. He is terrific in transition and can overpower opponents and get in their head.
Why the ranking?
Florence made a statement this summer with his overall athleticism and force around the rim. He looked to attack the rim and showed creativity as a scorer and defender.
7 Jackie Johnson, 5’10, PG, Southeast
An explosive point guard who has great handle and the ability to score from a distance, around the mid-range area and around the rim.
Why the ranking?
Johnson showed an unselfish nature on the floor and showed an improved all-around game. Johnson is a physical guard who can dial in his shot and give his team whatever they need from a team manager.
8 Jack Chapman, 6’5, G, 2021, Blue Valley Northwest
An aggressive two-way standout who is constantly in attack mode as he hustles to the basket and uses his size and build to make things happen inside.
Why the ranking?
Chapman looked stronger as a 3-point threat and continued to show improvement in his on ball play and overall handles.
9 Daylan Jones, 6’5, G/F, East
A perimeter player with terrific size and athleticism to make plays for himself and the handles to cross up defenders. Jones has an elite game and can defend positions across the boards and can find paths to the rim.
Why the ranking?
Jones shows flexibility and control and continues to look strong as a player who can create with the ball and play off the ball at a high level. He is emerging as a potential high major football recruit as well.
10 Sterling Chapman, 6’4, G, Campus
A natural two-way player with great size, strength and handles which allows him to control the tempo of a game and create mismatches inside and around the basket.
Why the ranking?
Chapman showed maturity and leadership over the summer and was quick to take advantage of mismatches and looked strong as a two-way standout.
