While suiting up fpr the Knights since he was a freshman Trey has grown on and off the court. He went from 6’0 new comer that was wide-eyed to a savvy guard that can handle the ball and shoot with ease.
“I’ve become more comfortable on the court. I’m willing to do anything to be successful to help my team get to where we want to be. These past few years have challenged me and I have accepted that challenge.”
Like most players being coached by your father can be difficult at times. It was no different for Trey but he looks back now and knows that it helped him in the long run. “I don’t feel pressured anymore, it has motivated me to move forward.”
Last season Trey was a contributor and this year he will be looked at to have a bigger impact in his teams success. In the opening game he scored 13 points, had 9 rebounds, 5 assist and 4 steals. With his length he is able to make it difficult as a defender. He helped Northridge pick up a win against Bonneville.
With a challenging schedule Trey will be able to showcase his style of play and game against other notable players.
“I’m ready, my team is ready, everyone is ready. Our coaches are pushing us and we’ve been preparing for this all summer long.”
Along with Trey’s length he is a threat on the perimeter as he can shoot the three-point shot contested. His handle is much improved as he brings the ball up more than he has in the past. His strength and athletic ability is constantly improving.
