<p>Class of 2020 6'3 G Parker Applegate of Riverton High School is entering his senior year. This year Parker is leading his team to an early 2-1 start with wins over Viewmont and Murray. In a game that Riverton was in full control at Murray but gave up the lead Parker didn't panic in a scramble as time was expiring. He took the ball and ran to the bottom right corner and put up a shot that was nothing but net to lift his team over Murray.</p>
<p>That patience and calm demeanor that he is displaying is impressive. In the past 4 years he has learned how to play the right way. "I've learned how to take angles and know how to get my shot off.</p>
<p>Although Parker isn't always the quickest person on the court he finds ways to score and he is averaging 15 points per game to go along with 4 rebounds.</p>
<p>This off-season Parker put a lot of time into moving without the basketball and setting himself up coming off of screens. </p>
<p>Parker thinks his team has a shot at region because his teammates don't quit. He hopes to make a deep run into the playoffs. </p>
<p>At 6'3 Parker can shoot over guards. His patience is something else to watch on film as he waits for defenses to make mistakes. He defends the ball well and rebounds. </p>
