Fishers beats Bloomington North
Tonight saw a battle of unbeaten teams go at it with Fishers taking on Bloomington North in the Bedford Holiday Tournament. In what was mostly a back and forth game, it was Fishers that walked away with a 46-35 victory. Fishers’ Jeffrey Simmons was the MVP of the night as he was the leading scorer with 17 points. North’s Isaac Vencel dropped 13 points tonight as well. Both squads will continue in the tourney tomorrow with Fishers taking on Scottsburg and North facing New Palestine.
Covenant Christian Senior Noah Hedrick has historic night
2020 prospect Noah Hedrick had an incredible night and one that he will never forget. In tonight’s game versus Grove Christian, Hedrick had 48 points off of 10 3-pointers, a school record. This senior showed off his fantastic shooting in a big way. The final of this game saw Covenant Christian defeat Grove Christian 104-46. One of the best performances of the high school season.
Barr-Reeve beats Blackford
This was a very hyped game this week as both of these squads are some of the best in the state. Blackford kept it close for most of the game and at one point it looked like we might see the all-mighty Barr-Reeve suffer a loss. That was not the case as Barr-Reeve went on a huge run in the fourth to beat Blackford 78-56. For the Vikings, Hagen Knepp had 24 points while teammate Keegan O’Neill had 22 points. Luke Bown of the Bruins lead the night with 27 points.
