Tavion Banks, 6’5,G, 2021, Ruskin
Banks has seen his stock soar this offseason after a strong run with Kansas Pray N Play 16U squad. An athletic wing player for Ruskin, Banks can play physical and handle contact and strong competition. He’s an unselfish player and also looks to extend plays with his 3-point shooting. He has good size and a strong build and blocks shots and runs quickly down the floor in transition. He has a high ceiling and a lot of potential to his game.
John Elful, 6’2, G/F, 2022, North KC, Team KC Black 15
A long and rangy player who makes an impact on both sides of the floor. He has good length and athleticism to his game and shows the ability to stay after plays and fight through contact contest shots. He gets to the glass well and shoots a high-percentage shot when he’s confident and in the zone. A player keep your eyes on.
D’Anthony Pennington, 6’2, G, 2020, North Kansas City
A slender player who can score and several spots across the floor. He has great three-point shooting ability and a nice jumper where he looks to connect over taller opponents. He can also get inside the lane and drop floaters for easy buckets and looks to score off the glass and around the rim. He can defend well and looks to jump passing Lanes as well and kick-off fast breaks.
Ahmed Mahgouh, 6’5, F, 2020, Oak Park
A long wing/post player who has nice handles and can create opportunities against taller players inside. He plays bigger than his listed height and can finish around the rim and over taller and stronger players. He has a good bounce to his game and looks to secure rebounds on the defensive side and swat away shots and passes.
Marcus Wigfall, 6’1, G, 2020, William Chrisman, KC Pacers
A nice point guard type player with good size, strength and overall skill. He likes to stick his nose in the paint and get a tough defensive boards. Wigfall is an intelligent player who has a nice build and can show up when you aren’t looking for him to make a play.
