<p><strong>PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Jakobe Thompson</strong></p>
<p>Thompson was the conference's third-leading scorer as a sophomore, posting 19.3 ppg. The high volume scorer also added 5.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. A silky smooth lefty who's fearless when attacking the rim, Thompson has a loaded group of young talent behind him, making Case the preseason favorite. </p>
<p><strong>BREAKOUT PLAYER - Carter Capstran </strong></p>
<p>With <strong>Zak Klug</strong> and <strong>Jacob Vonderwell</strong> graduating, Capstran steps to the forefront in Franklin's lineup. The skilled and physical forward averaged just shy of 13 points per game for a Sabre squad that won 19 games last season. He shot 55.2 percent from the field and showed over the summer much improved mid-range and 3-point shooting ability. </p>
<p><strong>SURPRISE PLAYER - Stevie Henderson</strong></p>
<p>Henderson has played in a loaded lineup for the past few seasons. Park is now in rebuilding mode with <strong>Nobal Days, Larry Canady</strong>, and others now gone and will turn to Henderson to help ease the transition. As a junior, Henderson averaged six points per game, but showed some flashes in a handful of games last season. </p>
