In this installment we will look at different contenders from 6A-4A. We will also provide a list of some players to watch. With team selections complete we can look forward to a few weeks of practice before the start of the season. Last year is now in the rear view mirror and changes across the state make for an interesting season ahead of us. 6A get's tougher with the addition of Jordan, Corner Canyon and Skyridge. 5A seems to be wide open. In 4A there will be a clear cut favorite. 3A-1A is going to be a mystery.

6A

This might be the strongest all-around field that the highest classification in Utah has seen in past years. With the addition of three great programs the field just got tougher.

Players to Watch:

Fremont: Dallin Hall & Baylor Harrop

Davis: Jake Sampson & Trevan Leonhardt

Northridge: Trey Simms

Layton: Tanner Koefed & Ethan Potter

Taylorville: Cameron Millican

Copper Hills: Stone Hutchings

Herriman: Kase Peterson & Legrand Burgess

Jordan: Nate Maiava & Dyson Koehler

Bingham: Jordan Toscano

Riverton: Parker Applegate

Corner Canyon: Carter Welling & Trace Ross

Pleasant Grove: Kael Mikkelsen & Preston Bushman

Skyridge: Trevon Snoody & Duncan Reid

American Fork: Noah Moeaki

With the best back-court in the state Fremont will be a tough team to beat coming out of Region 1. Layton and Davis will be other Region 1 teams that bring back a lot of experience. Region 3 will be a dog fight each night but Herriman and Jordan will be the teams to beat. It's hard to think that Region 4 could get any tougher but it did. PG has some young talent and Skyridge has some talented guards and great chemistry. Corner Canyon is coming off of a 5A State Championship .
