“Friday Night Lights” in Central Louisiana

<p>Friday night 11-22-19 was light night in Central Louisiana for High School hoops due to the state football playoffs, however the are still featured 2 games that saw some big time players put up some big time numbers.  Here is a recap of Friday Nights prep hoop action in Central Louisiana.</p> <p><strong>Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA) vs. Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers (Lake Charles, LA)</strong></p> <p><strong>Warhorses def. F/C Andrew Pearson:</strong> 12 pts 8 rebs 3 blk</p> <p><strong>Game Recap:</strong>  The Peabody Warhorses cruised to a 88-27 home victory over the Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazer on Friday Night at the Emerald Palace (The Name of Peabody's home court).  The Warhorses were led by their group of FAB 5 Seniors Melvion Flanagan who had a monster game with 28 points 9 assist 5 rebounds 5 steals, Marcus Jones stepped up with 21 points 9 rebounds 2 steals, Kaijalon Smith 14 points 5 rebounds 3 assist, Thomas Miles 13 points 8 rebounds 4 assist and Man in the Middle Andrew Pearson 12 points 8 rebounds and 3 blocks.  The Warhorses, who improved to 2-0 with the win, will be in action again next week (11-25-19) as they travel to Lakeview (Campti, LA) to begin play in the Lakeview holiday tournament.  </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Northwood Gators (Lena, LA) vs. University Academy Tigers (Alexandria, LA)</strong></p> <p><strong>Gators def. G Cam Telsee:</strong> 12 Pts</p> <p><strong>Game Recap: </strong> The Northwood Gators, who in the early stages of the season looking to be a sleeper is Class 1A starting the season at 2-1 secured a 57-34 road victory over the University Academy Tigers (Alexandria,LA).  The Gators were led by its dynamic duo of Freshman Guards Omarion Layssard 18 points and Tootie Barron 13 points and JR. G Cam Telsee with 12 points.  With the win, the gators improve to 3-1 on the season.  Norhtwood will be off for the Thanksgiving break and will be back in action on Dec. 3rd when they host the Buckeye Panthers (Buckeye)</p> <p>Other prep hoops action in Central Louisiana on Saturday 11-23-19 saw the Holy Savior Menard Eagles move to 4-1 on the season as they defeated the Leesville Wampus Cats 76-33. The Fab 4 of Jude Hopewell, Jourdain Dishmond, Alex Norton, and David Brevelle led the charge for the Eagles.  Menard will be in action again on Tuesday 11-26-19 as they travel right up the street to take on the Bolton Bears (Alexandria, LA)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
