Conference Breakdown 4A Desert Southeast

<p>In anticipation of the start of the High School Season, we will be breaking down the various 4A conferences in the state. In this article, we will be taking a look at the Desert Southeast. MVP and all-conference team selections are based on last season’s production and this season’s potential. </p>
<p><em>Conference Champs:</em> <strong>Liberty </strong>– Could go either way here, between Coronado and Liberty, but I'm going to give the nod to the Patriots. They have a stud in Gonzaga recruit, Julian Strawther, outside shooting, and a low post presence in rising C/O 2022 stud, Joshua Jefferson.</p>
<p><em>MVP:</em> <strong>Julian Strawther 6'6 SF Liberty 2020 (#2 2020)</strong> – This should be one of the most competitive races in the state. I think Strawther holds off all-world guard <a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jaden-hardy/">Jaden Hardy</a>, in both the conference and MVP race. </p>
<p><em>Top Unsigned Senior:</em> <strong>Felix Reeves 6'5 SF Coronado (#16 2020)<br />

<p><em>Top Underclassmen:</em> <strong>Joshua Jefferson 6'6 PF Liberty (#3 2022) <br />
</strong></p>
<p><em>Sleeper:</em> <strong>Drake Booker 6'2 PG Foothill 2021 (#15 2021)<br />
</strong></p>
<p><em>Sleeper Team:</em> <strong>Foothill </strong>– The Falcons are the defending champs and have a deep, confident team. </p>
<p><em>Game of the year:</em> <strong>2/7/20 Coronado vs Liberty </strong>– This could be the game of the year in the state. </p>
