Metro Indy Fall League kicked off week one of their games this past Sunday at Fishers High School. The league features some of the state's best talent. I take a look at my biggest standouts below.

Dillon Ware (Danville)

Ware did what he does best. He was a force both ways on the glass and had a number of second-chance points. His ability to handle the ball has improved and was on display, as he had several nice dribble moves followed by finishes at the rim. Defensively Ware was alert and active, he had three nice steals leading to scores. He made several shots on the wing as well. With his senior season on the horizon, Ware has the potential to be one of the state's top rebounders.

Rickie Wedlow (Lawrence North) 2020

Wedlow's improved shooting touch stood out to me. He knocked down several threes and pull-up jumpers throughout the night. His ability to find teammates in the flow of the offense and in transition was impressive. Wedlow has really improved his ability to become a go-to scorer. Heading into his senior season he should give Lawrence North a good go-to option at point guard.

Victor Young (Muncie Central) 2020

Young shot the ball very well from the outside in his first game. In the past, I thought Young's shot was his biggest weakness. However, on Sunday I saw great improvement. His ability to score from all three levels was very impressive. Young showed his athleticism in transition, as he had several great finishes and pull-up jumpers. He has the potential to put up big numbers this season at Muncie Central.

Carson Burtron (Lebanon) 2020

Burton's ability to score and facilitate the offense was on full display. He scored in a variety of ways at all three levels and was relentless finishing on the drive. His ability to attract the defense and find teammates makes the offense run smoothly. Burton's transition game made him stand out, as he found teammates and scored several times himself.

JR Konieczny (South Bend St. Joe) 2021

It didn't take long to see that Konieczny is just as good as advertised. The Notre Dame commit was a force knocking down shots from the outside and throwing down several big-time dunks. Now standing 6'7 Konieczny has an outstanding skill set to go along with his height. His ability to put the ball on the floor and score from anywhere at his size is impressive. Konieczny should make a lot of noise out of the South Bend area this season.

Sean Black (Warren Central) 2021

Black played well, knocking down a number of threes and mid-range jumpers. His ability to score off the dribble from is very impressive. Now a junior Black will have tons of opportunity at Warren Central, as they graduated all of their back-court from last season. If Black can improve his ability to shoot off the catch he could become a very complete player offensively. Look for a huge junior year coming from him this winter.

Curt Hopf (Barr Reeve) 2021

Hopf did a great job of owning the paint and the glass. He had several nice post moves and defended the paint well. His improved shooting was on display, as he made several threes and mid-range shots. Hopf showed his IQ with several nice rim runs and passes out of the post to shooters. If deemed eligible Hopf and fellow big Keegan O'Neill could be one of the states better post tandems this season.

Gus Etchison (Hamilton Heights) 2021

Etchison showed us why he is one of the state's most athletic players. He had several nice drives and finishes at the rim. His ability to get out and run makes him really stand out amongst other players. Etchison shot the ball well and managed to score in a variety of ways. He has a chance to put up huge numbers for Hamilton Heights this season.
